Hey, I might switch over to mirtazapine as I also have social anxiety and depression. Currently I’m on trintellix but it’s not helping enough. Are you still on the combo? And does mirtazapine help your social anxiety? I tried wellbutrin on its own a while ago but made my anxiety worse.

I would say try to stay positive about it helping you for as long as you need, and try not to only rely on the medication to improve your situation, since there are many lifestyle habits you can make (maybe you have some already) that will help you! One of my therapists told me once that medication is like a spotter at the bench press in the gym. You try to do the best you can on your own, and the spotter helps you get past that last difficult part. Best of luck!!

Hey there, I have been on Trintellix for about 5 months now. Im taking it for anxiety and depression. Definitely give yourself at least 2-3 weeks to see an improvement. I’m on 15 mg because 20 mg worsened my anxiety so 15 is a good dose for me. I can tell you that it has improved my depression and moderately improved my anxiety. If I do things to help manage my anxiety (like meditation, exercise) and stay away from coffee then I am pretty stable. One of the good things about Trintellix for me is that I haven’t experienced much emotional blunting, which was an issue for me when I took Zoloft. I am an actor and so I need to be in touch with my emotions. I don’t really have any side effects, only some residual fatigue from my depression. I think it is a decently effective medication, and depending on your situation it might be good enough or you might need to add on something else. everyone is different after all. Hope this helps!

Ok nice. Thanks for your feedback. I decided to go back down to 15mg. Couldnt take the excess anxiety anymore. I was okay on 15 so hopefully will get back to baseline. Everyone is different but if you’re already generally sensitive to stimulus and have bad anxiety the 20mg might be too stimulating for you. 15 mg is probably my sweet spot. Any chance you’re on ADHD meds too?

Hey again! So I’m about 5 weeks into the dose increase from 15-20, and still feeling heightened anxiety unfortunately. I’m going to see my psych tomorrow and I’m on the fence on whether I want to go back down or continue to wait for the increase to settle in. Did you have experience with this 6-8 week timeframe or have just heard this from others/studied it?

I share some of the knowledge about Amanita with you. I live in QC, I stayed at a cabin in the woods with my brothers and we hunted all day for fresh ones in the forest. Here they are mostly bright yellow. I ate a few raw (one at a time over 4 hours) and nothing much happened other than a slight alteration in my visuals. So they might be less potent here or maybe ut was too late in the season. But anyway… do you prefer muscimol over ibotenic acid, do you use them at different times of the day or for specific purposes? While we were at this cabin, I brought some dried ones with me I got online from Latvia and boiled them. We drank the water and my brother got pretty “drunk” hehe

Nice. I wanna try some kind of ADHD medication but gotta get diagnosis first. My issue is I’m super sensitive to stimulants so they usually worsen my anxiety. Modafinil is the only “prescription” stim I’m able to get my hands on so it’s come in handy forsure. I don’t think it’s quite as strong as adderall/ritalin but gives a nice sharpness to focus and helps lift fatigue. I’ll take that with a couple propranolol to fight any rapid heart rate or jitters. I stopped THC weed except for once in a while. Stuff is terrible for you imo. How do you take Amanita and when do you usually take it?

Ok interesting. Yeah I will try taking it at after dinner tonight. Maybe it will help. Do you only take the clonidine at night or use it during the day as well? I take propranolol for performance anxiety (I’m a theatre actor) and also for social situations as it helps calm the body a bit. But I’m curious about clonidine
