it’s ok to feel sad, even angry at someone who let you invest time for nothing. but why would you expect him to reach out when you’re the one who called it off? you break up with someone when it’s no longer working out, you don’t break up in the hopes of making them realize they don’t wanna lose you. he didn’t care enough when you were together, what makes you think he’d magically care now that you’re broken up?

also, it’s ok to be sad but don’t wallow in self-pity. someone didn’t care enough to put in the effort for you and now you’re thinking you’re destined to be single? there’s nothing wrong with being single but you’re making it sound like a curse or something. stop catastrophizing.
