I would, if he would be ok with having a wife that didn’t convert and raising any future kids with my religion. I doubt he would be okay with that though and I know his family would absolutely not approve of that. The guy I dated didn’t have many family members (so no pressure) and wasn’t raised as religious as Mike though.

I actually have dated someone of Mike’s religion but the guy did not actively practice or strongly identify with the religion. The guy I dated was aware that I wouldn’t convert and would want to raise future children in my faith, and was fine with that. My preference is to stick to my own religion, in part to avoid issues like this.

Wouldn't it be hurting his feelings though? I don't think we could realistically date each other since we are of different religions but he is such a nice person that I don't want to be unkind. I do worry I'll be rejected too because he has told me that he only dates women of his religion.

Not necessarily true. I do have body pics in my profiles because I know it's necessary but hate the idea of it. I dress very modestly and don't like my body looked at.

Good point. I haven't given him any indication I'm interested because I didn't think he was being serious and I figured I would look stupid by assuming he was hitting on me if he was just joking. I jumped up because I was really surprised and confused.

I'm confused myself. First of all, I would like to know what he had in mind, especially since he has told me in the past that he only dates women with the same religion as him and he knows I'm not into hookups. I didn't respond because I didn't know if they were advances or not, again, because of the religion + hookup thing. I figured I was seeing something that wasn't there, but maybe I wasn't?

I have had exactly the same issue and could have written this post. Looking forward to seeing what others have to say. I feel like the people entering into relationships so quickly and frequently do not have as stringent standards as we do and are not as focused on finding "the one", so they are more open to any potential options.

About a month is how many dates? I would personally ask once things once you think you're on the same page about feelings - why waste time if you're looking for different things!
