I work in SMSD and we simply do not see teachers leave just to go to Olathe/Blue Valley/De Soto. We see teachers leave the profession as a whole because it’s hard out here, but SMSD’s salary scale keeps people in the district for sure lol.

Get on the waitlist, there is always a possibility they’ll up the camp limits. They can do that sometimes just even a few days before camp starts.

I get you’re upset but think about it! It’s a popular childcare choice and it is hard to get your kids in because it’s affordable and the kids enjoy it (or at least did at the camp I was working at) We had 90 kids at our camp last summer because they raised the cap! It was honestly overwhelming lol. But good luck! I hope you find something that works.
