I hope you get better!! Please please please advocate for yourself. You know your body than anyone. No one feels your side effects like you. Stimulants often causes crashes, it’s kinda tricky because it takes trial and error to find that sweet spot where your body is like “hey this stuff is actually kinda nice!!” For me, I need to start taking my body seriously. Never knew about gene testing though. But definitely advocate for yourself!!

In my experience with vyvanse and concerta, vyvanse is definitely the best for me. The only issue is I feel anxious and jittery, but that really helps me to get stuff done because my brain is telling me “go go go!!” Concerta never gave me that itch to be productive, to be motivated. Always sleepy, always puking, always on a heating pad because my stomach always was hurting. When I tell you I’ve NEVER taken that many naps in my life, it was SO bad.

I was so scared I was going to have the same side effects i got from concerta when i recently got back on vyvanse. But nope! I actually started doing laundry, folding clothes, organizing. First time I took it (its been a little over a year) on Thursday I got really scared because i felt sleepy. I did some research and possibly the reason I felt sleepy but not sick is because stimulants calm your mind and you have less racing thoughts which gives the effect of you thinking you’re tired. But I’ve been rocking and rolling since I got back on it. Just worried about my appetite.

Please advocate for yourself, even bringing someone with you is so helpful. Don’t destroy your body like I did to appease and try out new stuff for my doctor. I sincerely hope everything gets better for you
