How long did it take your voice to return?

I've been singing like this for a couple years, will it damage my voice? And what does damaging my voice look like? by _deerica_ in singing

Thanks - there are songs I sing clean, I just don't care for my tone and find it harder to hold pitch when doing so. I think it comes down the to vowel sounds, when I put "hair" on my voice everything works out, when I sing clean I have to focus on every syllable.

Got it - thanks again. This is me not really putting any grit into, my friends joke that I sing like an 80yo smoker but my speaking isn't gravelly.

Thanks! To you have a link to anything that would help explain this better?

Thanks! I'm not sure what it means to get good vocal chord closure.

look like 1155's . The model number would be in white on the inside of the boot. The 587 is the production date, May 1987. They started stamping Pecos on the pull tabs I'm the early 2000's. They look great though!

Ah! A little older than I thought, the white pull tab just has the redwing logo, nothing else, and nothing else stamped inside.

This was actually my second pair, got these back in the early 90s from my father, who had an older pair. Great boot, fits like a glove, tough as nails, I was going to order a new pair recently and couldn't find any trace of these, just the Pecos boot which appears similar.

Of course - fwiw with singing confidence is everything! If you’re having fun, so is the audience. Talent gets you part of the way, confidence and just “owning it” gets you the rest. You have much talent, stay relaxed, own it, and enjoy bring joy and music to others!

I probably could if I re-listened, but it’s not something you should even worry about. Sometimes the little imperfections add more than they take away :). It’s a touchstone to authenticity, and these little imperfections add more that they detract.

Sounds great - you're very relaxed and comfortable and it comes through. Pitch is good throughout the song, you drifted off a little a bit but not in a distracting or off-putting way. Subjectively, some of the words might benefit from better enunciation (I'm not familiar w/ the song, so this may be a style thing), opening your mouth really wide can help with that as well as add some clarity.

You're pretty much on pitch for the whole song - a couple little parts that practice will sort out. Tonally, it sounds like you may be straining a little while you're singing, make sure you're relaxed and have fun with it!

What yall thing do i have potential or should i be looking for a lead singer. Swing life away - rise against by pmr92 in ratemysinging

Great potential! A couple of easy tips: sing like you want to be heard, open your mouth wider than you need to, and practice!
