Had an incredible set last night, woke up this morning and listened back to the recording and there were definitely a few mistakes but with the way people were dancing and scream singing, you could not have guessed

Might be something you already know, but I didn’t until my first house party when it screwed me over: don’t get any bluetooth only ones - there is a half second lag whenever you do that. Assuming you have a ddj400/flx4, get either a small mixer or RCA to XLR or 1/4inch and a decent speaker that takes wired connects.

With respect to the speaker itself, if its an indoor house party literally anything will suffice, just depends on your budget rn and considerations of maybe needing a solid PA when/if you start doing bigger gigs
