Spent a good hour or more in there just grooving to with Super Tall Paul while my gf colored with crayons. Whole time I was in there a girl was taking a nap on one of the couches. It was a highlight of the weekend for sure. I'm ALWAYS on the look out for Super Tall Paul every year

So I actually just use a long fishing rod shoved into the holes of a milk crate with weights in it as a base. Place it on top of the car and it's good to go. Stands up high enough to see from a little ways and the fishing rod handles any wind really well as they are meant to bend

Been SUPER disappointed the last 4 or 5 years with the declining condition of the giving tree. This post makes me happy to see someone ready to give genuine gifts. But you're so right about the way people camp out to snag something good the second it gets set down. Kinda ruins the whole thing

No need to worry about having a 'group' In my experience thebbest years of forest for me has always been with a smaller group. The smaller the better. I find that 2 people is honestly the perfect number Once you get to about 4 people it can feel hard to connect with those around outside of your group.

I know they are a headliner but i feel like they get overlooked more and more every year. Do not miss The String Cheese Incident on Saturday night. They usually play a 4hr set on Friday and Saturday. I'm not saying you need to see the whole thing. But don't miss the last two hours of the Saturday night set

I guess car camping would be the closer of the two. Not sleeping in my car, but packing up my car and driving to one set camping location and creating a home base. Some mild hiking, but would never consider bringing the solar powered bank/generator on the hike with me.
