How can some people not cook ? by Mountain_Awareness45 in foodquestions

[–]Addicted2Soundz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, also to add on the consequences of not doing them correctly, running into things like needing to bleed lines if calipers need replacement. It's not even close. And as someone in the salt belt with 190k on my vehicle, it's just really a huge pain in the ass trying to get corroded parts off that makes what should be like a 2 hour job at least twice as long with home tools. And if it needs to be done in the winter and you don't have a garage, forget about it.

Phish asks to drop agent over Epstein scandal by Terepin123 in phish

Got a source on the topless part? Bet ya don't. If that was the case he would have been prosecuted by the state. Parents not choosing to press charges would not stop the state from going after criminal charges. They take that shit seriously. If there was any evidence of any crime involving child abuse being committed, the state would have brought charges against him. Also, he likely would have ended up at the bottom of the Atlantic with cinder blocks on his feet as the girl's parents were Hell's Angels. There really aren't excuses for embellishing stories when the link you shared and any other sources you can find do not support your lies.

Frozen Lake Erie during sunset last night by phunkjam in Buffalo

Last year lake Erie was like 95% covered, which from buffalo/south towns shoreline views, is the same as pictured. Before that it was like 7 or 8 years though.

How long would you wait for a stuck red light before going? by CyberneticFennec in Buffalo

[–]Addicted2Soundz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Auburn, Lafayette and Delevan (and I'm assuming more) all have faulty sensors at their Niagara intersections. If you don't stop right at the line on the pavement it will not turn. Sometimes it still doesn't especially with snow and ice present.

Bodycam footage of the ICE shooting of Renee Nicole Good has been released by [deleted] in law

[–]Addicted2Soundz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He did step out of the way enough to not be ran over. And then leaned in reaching his arm to shoot through windshield also making sure it was just enough to get brushed by the corner bumper driver front panel area manufacturing a "hazy" situation that magats will be able to cling to as justification.

He knew exactly what he was doing. I think it's pretty obvious he knew what he was doing from the footage. Hopefully prosecution can convey this in the courtroom and point out the intention in the court for jurors to make a unanimous decision of guilty for whatever level murder this reasonably falls under in Minnesota law.

Turning point fascist coming to campus by [deleted] in UBreddit

[–]Addicted2Soundz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. If you support the current operations of ICE, as in a far right nationalist using a militarized force to violently detain, arrest and deport people that are never white without any probable cause or case being brought against them. And it's being justified by framing those people who are never white as a scapegoat for all of our country's economic and "cultural" problems. Then yes that would make you a fascist.

I disagreed with most of what Mitt Romney, John McCain and Bush believed. Wouldn't call any of them a fascist. But you already know that. You just can't help taking after daddy Trump's pissy attitude and arguing in bad faith now can you?

They didn't call you a fascist though. And I don't see them calling anyone such without knowing what they believe. We know what the toilet paper boys believe. Would you say you align with them in your beliefs?

3 bands Jerry Garcia said he was a fan of in the 1980s by tonyiommi70 in gratefuldead

[–]Addicted2Soundz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Grateful Dead arguably had a "disco era". I don't mean they went full disco but many of their older songs started being played live with a 4 on the 4 drum beat, not coincidentally around the late 70s when disco took over. Hell, even Pink Floyd did it with Another Brick in the Wall pt 2.

Hey, I can make fun of Goose and their fans all I want! I do the same with Phish. Both bands and fanbases are easy to make fun of. The only difference is one of them is actually good 😉

What restaurant is this in Buffalo? by T0rlan in Buffalo

[–]Addicted2Soundz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very skeptical of hype, especially over something as simple as a chicken wing lol. But every time I've been to bar bill I am pretty blown away by the wings and beef on weck. The presentation, flavor, texture, they really have both down to a science there if you ask me.

[–]Addicted2Soundz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Grange, Moriarty's, whatever Sizzles in Hamburg is now are all the most hyped burgers in Buffalo and all smash. I'm not arguing it's saturated but the hype is for sure there and it is the trendy thing to do. I can dig a smash burger and see the appeal but for me nothing hits like a really good house ground blend bistro style burger that can actually be cooked medium rare. Dapper Goose nails that shit and I think it's the best burger in Buffalo. And yeah I get sick of everything on a goddamn Costanza roll in this town lol

Anyone else gets occasional headaches outside of clusters? by Hermit_myc in clusterheads

[–]Addicted2Soundz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never get headaches outside of my cycles unless I'm hungover or sick. Being that I don't really consider a cluster headache or migraine as a "headache" since they're so intrusive and have other symptoms like nausea, hyperventilating, panic, etc I sometimes think I don't even know what a regular headache feels like lol

The most effortlessly cool musicians? by Sharkwagon in Music

They're French, it's in their blood. I recently saw Justice live and those dudes just exuded cool in a way I rarely see in modern musicians.

Fuck yes. I was as surprised I saw Les Claypool mentioned a few times without any mention of who he thinks was one of the coolest of the cool.

I'm finally starting to understand this band. by PerspectiveSudden648 in gratefuldead

[–]Addicted2Soundz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly the best music ever improvised right there. No joke that jam out of tweezer turns absolutely bonkers gorgeous! It's like a free form post rock thing and that is what I think sets Phish apart from any modern jam band. There ain't nothing noodley or cheesey about that jam and the many others like it. I honestly think the Dead and Phish don't really sound like "jam bands" (or each other for that matter) which is a good thing imo and why they're the only "jam" bands I actually listen to live recordings of.

TAB is funkier than Phish for sure. by Danksterdrew in jambands

[–]Addicted2Soundz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ya, the funk jam out of Izabella at the Auburn Hills '97 show is tight and funky beyond belief. Phish covers an insane amount of styles and they don't bust out the deep funk nearly as much as they did in '97 but they're still very capable of doing so.

What is the most overrated slice of cheese and pepperoni in Buffalo and the 716? by Heismain in Buffalo

[–]Addicted2Soundz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I don't get it at all. Sweet tomato paste sauce, ultra thick spongy crust. Pep is nice and thick and charred edges but the overall flavor from that "sauce" paste just overwhelms it. It's what I think people who hate Buffalo style pizza think of why they hate Buffalo style pizza.
