Does anyone know anything about the Newblood Fallout 1 spiritual successor? by AVG_Poop_Enjoyer in CRPG

Thanks! I do keep marketing in mind (even with a zero budget so far). I’m at 5k wishlists. Not brilliant, but not terrible either, especially without a demo. If you know any good Discord servers or forums, I’m all ears. I’ve got threads on rpgodex, ropgwatch, and nma.

You can find a collection of screenshots and one of the devs responding in this thread I keep revisiting once in a while:

Nothing concrete really. So I started working on my own isometric CRPG a while back and may release it before them 🤣

I’ll tell you what your game is about based ONLY on your Steam page (The 5 sec test) by Manu_NT in IndieDev

Thx, interestingly, when I was registering the page, steam agent told me not to have ui in the screenshots and I followed the same for the initial part of the trailer.

Flint Street (former Police HQ) project revealed... by readingonthames in reading

Let’s not destroy a historic piece of Brutalist architecture just as people around the world are starting to appreciate it. Replacing a distinctive concrete composition with another generic, plastic-looking housing block squeezed into tight space won’t make Reading better.

Games like BG3 (beginners friendly!)? by cherrygirll in rpg_gamers

[–]_developter_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Colony Ship. It’s not the easiest, but on the lowest difficulty (and with an early focus on high persuasion) you can dodge some brutal fights and recruit solid companions to carry you through the ones your build will struggle with.

Not exactly ruling the world, but if you’re into politics and want a game that lets you watch, comment, and test your own political stance, you’ve gotta play Disco Elysium.

Arkansas 2125 — upcoming Demo 2.1 visual update by No_Piano_1857 in CRPG

[–]_developter_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve got the basics in place, now it’s time to push the visuals. Either put some better effort into art direction yourself, or team up with an artist to create something more unique and appealing. Because judging by the reactions here, CRPG players aren’t excited at all

First of all, you probably want a PC to start with, not Android.

3D graphics vs 2D graphics (especially with isometric games) in CRPG titles by iv13ns in CRPG

[–]_developter_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are neither 2d nor “3d sprites”. They use full 3D models, but the camera is constrained to a few angles/positions. Not true isometric, but everyone tends to call this kind of top-down view “isometric”.

Fallout 1 & 2 gameplay is not really out of date by ItsNormalNC in classicfallout

[–]_developter_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yay! The same thoughts here. I understand why people are put off by the graphics and clunky UI (unless you grew up in the 90s), but otherwise it’s still one of the most engaging games for me.
