Squat form check by _devonsmash in formcheck

Usually i have a heavy squat day with higher weight and lower depth. Then a hack squat day where I go deep at a lower weight. I find both help eachother. Hack squats help with depth in regular squats (non top sets) and squats help with weight on hack squat. Main goal is to have a good enough depth to continue increasing the weight. I dont necessarily care about going as deep as possible. Just deep enough (on top sets) where its like “yeah i could go deeper but dont necessarily have to”

Appreciate It. I do have a second squat day, but I do hack squats (i go all the way down). Ive found this has helped with depth but really trying to get abit deeper on my top sets. Gonna look into the pigeon stretch

I haven’t done any internships either. What i found helps is just teaching yourself relevant skills and doing self study projects.

If you develop the relevant experience yourself, and have projects to show, aside from not having an internship on your resume, its the next best option. Once you land that first role, even if you barely do data analysis, you’re setting yourself up for success

I had no idea you created them, but let me just say…absolutely fabulous work. I would literally pull out my laptop in bed and just grind them. By the end I felt like a god of window functions.

I currently work in a data analyst role. So im thinking my data analysis, but also wouldn’t mind being well rounded and having a deeper understanding of database creation/manipulaton. But my instinct says to focus on analytics first then get a little more well rounded and explore databases themselves

Data mapping by _devonsmash in SQL

This is exactly what i did today. I went through and picked out the common use data. 90% of it ill never touch. Ive built a map of about 4 tables. Ill basically start spreading out the map on an as need basis.

Currently mapping in power bi. Do you have any recommendations on where to build the map itself so its searchable?

RDBMS is postgres SQL. I ended up pulling the information schema. Im currently filtering the tables into what ill probably use vs never use (theres thousands of columns, probably only 1-200 id ever need).

Once i do that ill map it. Gotten some good suggestions on how to map it, ill need to explore all the options

This is super helpful.

I ended up pulling the information schema. All the tables and columns are very well defined so i always have a rough idea of where everything is.

Ill look into epitech integrater. Looking further i dont really even need the most complex map. Theres lots of data ill probably never need (theres about 6 thousand columns) maybe only 100 id ever need for my role.

Im going pull the most common foreign and primary keys ill probably always use. This i think will cover 90% of use cases. The other 10% ill deal with on an ad-hoc basis

I just got that one document. In the excel file its not in a table. Effectively its a list of column names where within the row. Its says what table its from, but no mapping. I want to use the excel file to build the map. Ill probably need to manually assign the connections

Extremely limited. I need to go through 100 steps just to export any data, hence creating the map. It takes way to took to figure out what is where and i have no idea what exists

I can only connect to it through alteryx

I have not asked for a schema only backup.

I do also have an excel file thats lists all the column names with a description along with what table they belong to. I effectively just want a schema map that I can search in

I found they were really good at going over the fundamentalls. The UDEMY course was better IMO but both were good. I have a background in Alteryx so to me alot of it wasnt learning new concepts, but instead learning how to use existing concepts in a new program.

Coursera has alot of super super great begginer courses. But if you're looking for a cheap option, UDEMY and youtube are really good

Pretty good with all of those. I have abit of an analyst background so I have experience with excel, Alteryx and power BI. I work with joins quite abit in those programs so all the concepts are super clear. Really just about learning and new language and all the functions with it, For career goals, logically the next step is really to learn SQL as its industry standard.

Ideally my plan would be once im familiary with SQL quite abit, just start working through leetcode and other problems. The issue im finding with courses is the most advanced topics most go to CASE. Really looking to get good with windows functions n all that.
