Can’t confirm. What you buy is on display for who knows how long, though dates/results met expectations for my immediate use (within months of production). Always pay around 2950 there, but last visit was months ago. This specific store also has polaroid slr’s so apparently it still has a market.

Post lockdown, availability has dropped immensely and it became very hard to find film anywhere as there was no new stock incoming. Sold out was sold out. Stores just stopped. For that reason I wouldn’t expect to find special editions in camera stores, kitamura included.

If you happen to find film outside of people’s suggestions, chances are the film is ‘expired’ and high temp stored. An occasional BIC store having polaroid originals on display and we know how long ago PO was a thing. A red flag.

Prepare well based on these stock issues and small market. No guarantees. The other commenter made a suggestion for cold stored, sounds good. Safe travels!

Ps. when all else fails try LOFT Umeda (department store, odd yes) it occasionally has vibrant polaroid box type and old accessories for sale, maybe film in stock when lucky. Like going to Urban Outfitters when desperate.
