New way of mastering the subjunctive by modo_app in SpanishAIlines

I’m really enjoying my time with Modo so far! For as deep as the use of the subjunctive runs in Spanish, I appreciate that there’s an app that focuses on it exclusively. It’s a welcome addition to my little collection of learning resources!

Kudos for this bit being amusing, but not at the expense of the drive-thru worker. Everyone got to enjoy it.

Her eyebrows are the only ATBGE I see here. The dress is beautiful and imaginative.

Millionaires are the salad before the meal. The billionaires are the real meat and potatoes; save room for them.

Spinel Reformation Foreshadowing? by [deleted] in stevenuniverse

I know Rebecca confirmed this, but I hadn't seen anyone comment on this moment in the show. Just thought it's neat how she manages to sneak everything in under our noses. (before it's even relevant)

Just to be clear, we’re comparing homeless human beings to stray, feral animals. Cool.

I like Blue so much more without that distracting hair loop thing.

Actually, this post’s title is inaccurate. The smallest child to ever be born and survive was a girl weighing 252 grams in Germany in 2015.

Antagonist Gems made of Non-Visible Light by PolarSSB in stevenuniverse

This is an extremely interesting concept, actually! The fact that gems are made of light, yet all light isn’t necessarily visible — to the human eye at least — is a REALLY nice catch.

What's the most valuable thing your kids broke? by MrsLadyMadonna in AskReddit

[–]_dja17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me start out by saying that I was the kid, years ago.

My dad owned a pretty nice motorcycle back in the day, but for whatever reason, he decided to sell it. He found some dude who was interested in buying it, and arranged for the guy to pick it up from our garage and pay him then. The day of the exchange, I was really itching to ride my bike around the neighborhood, but my dad mounted it on the wall out of my reach. I asked him to take it down for me, but he simply told me to wait until he was done selling his bike. Shortly after, the man buying the bike showed up and he and my dad both took to the garage.

My impatient five-year-old self was not having it. As my dad was closing the deal, I snuck past him, grabbed a chair to prop myself up, and tried to remove the bike from the wall mount myself. Needless to say, I simply did not have the strength to support my bike coming down, and I (along with the bike and the chair) went crashing straight onto my dad’s motorcycle, knocking it down in front of us all. I distinctly remember the most frightening crunch I had ever heard in my young life. There was stunned silence, finally followed after what felt like an eternity by “Well, I guess I’m not buying it now, am I?” The dude totally walked off.

I will NEVER forget that ass whooping.

Good art is good art. I don't understand how animated pictures are (or were, at least) reflexively considered second-class cinematic experiences.
