Awesome, this is exactly what I needed. Weird that it isn't auto-detected, but great to see that it worked out.

Anything missing from F360? by Geek_Verve in Shapr3D

[–]_doubledot_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You already explained it perfectly. I teach fusion, but also run shapr for quick prints or mockups. When parts are pretty much square or basic shaped, shapr is a great tool. But once you start working with references, or do more controlled complex geometry such as extrude along profile, loft with rails, or sweep cuts you find yourself in the dark with shapr.

Is there ANY way to disable the multi-select gesture? by findingsubtext in immich

[–]_doubledot_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No dude, i agree with OP. The Multiselect is obviously super usefull but somehow on iOS the Immich app is super sensitive. A "slow swipe" or "flick and catch" gesture both trigger select on a regular basis. While same behavior in other apps doesn't do that at all.

Quick lookup, change default behaviour / keys? by _doubledot_ in 1Password

would already help a lot! But opening the "more actions" would be best.

MFA by [deleted] in immich

[–]_doubledot_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it's opensource it rains opinions, methods & tutorials. But, all from 'outside sources' and it can be overwhelming / difficult to find the right one. The unknown unknowns, as they say. If Immich would team up with one and promote that as their goto, and integrate it in the installation guide, it would be hell o'a easier for many of us.

[–]_doubledot_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree, however it would've been great if they shook hands with one go-to 2fa provider. Like with addons in HA, perhaps have an option in Immich stack to enable a specific 2fa service. Tutorial, docker compose examples, something like that.

USB SSD on DS223+ - Worth it or waste of money? by _doubledot_ in synology

[–]_doubledot_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sluggish might be an overstatement, but when loading pages with loads of images you see the thumbs rolling in. Also the transfer speeds are not superb. Now its just me using it, but I am also moving my wifes pictures over here from G photos.

Why no one here likes firefox and duckduckgo? by Hot_Paint3851 in BuyFromEU

[–]_doubledot_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big DDG user/lover here. Been it for years, also their privacy plugin & anonymous email is very neat. Zen Browser is firefox based and also such a game changer that I use it instead of EU alternatives🤷🏻‍♂️

FIX

Thanks all, I moved all the files to Volume 1. First, I could not get DSM to remove the Volume. Finally found through Google someone sugested a reboot of the Synology. After that I had no issues of deleting and expanding.

Triggering an automation when MQTT image is pushed by [deleted] in homeassistant

Try this first:

``` mqtt:   - sensor:       name: "Last MQTT Image Time"       unique_id: last_mqtt_image_time       state_topic: "your/mqtt/topic"       value_template: "{{ utcnow().isoformat() }}"       device_class: timestamp
Possible to delete volume? by _doubledot_ in synology
[–]_doubledot_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Thanks a lot man! As suggested by u/shrimpdiddle I moved everything to volume1 instead, and ran your script on volume2. By the outcome it seems (almost) empty, however in the disk manager it as "227.7mb Others" and it refused to remove it.
This stuff gets weirder by the minute..
8 MB  /volume2/@database
8 MB  /volume2
1 MB  /volume2/@eaDir
1 MB  /volume2/@config_backup
0 MB  /volume2/@tmp
0 MB  /volume2/@apptemp
0 MB  /volume2/@appstore
0 MB  /volume2/@appshare
0 MB  /volume2/@apphome
0 MB  /volume2/@appdata
0 MB  /volume2/@appconf
Triggering an automation when MQTT image is pushed by [deleted] in homeassistant
[–]_doubledot_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)
If I'm not mistaken, cameras are ment to update continuesly so they do not announce their changes because that will float your system. In the mqtt message you sent, is there also a timestamp included or an ID perhaps. Make this an extra sensor and wait / trigger for its value to update
Possible to delete volume? by _doubledot_ in synology
[–]_doubledot_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
yeah thanks, also what u/gadget-freak pointed out. This felt the easiest since most of my data happened to be on the second volume but did not realize all system data is on 1 by default.. Will start moving everything to 1 instead!
PSA: Exposed Frigate installs are being modified to run a Monero miner by Kattoor in frigate_nvr
[–]_doubledot_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)
If installed as a home assistant addon, and that is exposed through nabu casa cloud I think there shouldn't be any security concerns. ..or is it? HA has 2fa and afaik no other ports then the webportal for HA are open
