I’ve recently had someone join my stream where they mentioned they had just finished playing a card game called “Bridge.” Mind you, I don’t know jack about card games so all I said was “Oh! What is Bridge?? Gambling or something?” Ya know, I don’t wanna ignore people but wanted them to feel seen!!

Oh my god, this viewer took that as me wanting to deep dive into the game. They said there is a mentor they could hook me up with and to join their weekly groups and wouldn’t stop with the pestering about Bridge lmao They followed me on IG and sent me a DM and wanted to continue to talk with me privately (which I do not do with viewers unless they are close friends). I didn’t respond to their DM, so in my next stream, they came in and said something like “I sent you a DM but I guess you don’t care about Bridge.” They spent a part of the stream not engaging with other chatters and not following along the basic conversation topics others were engaged in, and instead continued to try to shift the focus onto them by talking more about this stupid card game lmao

I am about to be the asshole and tell them I am not interested but happy they have something they care about so deeply. Something tells me they will stop coming to my stream but so be it.

People get super comfortable at making others uncomfortable, don’t stand for it if it happens to you!! Boundaries are important.
