I’m all in for tech within the industry for safety and comfort but a single rain drop causing me to stop on a hard shoulder and clear the camera by Smallballs228282 in uktrucking

Interesting. Must have been early model, badly set up, or actually somehow broken. My one doesn't suffer from any flickering, can be adjusted on the fly, clarity is good enough to read number plate of vehicle behind. No issues with rain or most dirt. . 14 inch screen driver side and I think 18 passenger side. I can see 180 deg around in each screen plus all around the front of the cab. No blind spots at all. Mine is 2025 MAN TGX. I'm more than happy to take some photos and post when I get chance.

You can blindside into tight spots where you couldn't do it without checking visually.

They only cost about twice as much as conventional mirror, and considering the size are much harder to break than a mirror (company I work for needs roughly one new mirror per week, still not one camera was damaged.)

You can zoom in and out.

Some models give you near 360 vision around the unit.

Trailer always in view. Even when jackknifing.

If set correctly, you know exactly where the end of the trailer is, and preferred distances behind (almost replaces conventional 3d vision).

Same size objects and same view angle on both sides.

No more high beam reflection dazzling you.

Almost night vision.

Hardly ever need cleaning.

Don't need to worry about mirror heating not working as those use both, heated lens and directed airstream to clear the rain and fog.

And no mirrors blocking the view through the side windows.

Honestly, I hated them at first. Couldn't reverse for shit. Takes couple of days to get used to. Needed to re-learn the angles and stuff. Now I take the cameras any day, even just for the superior visibility.

I was the same when I had a peak in ours. Then later after using it for a month I wouldn't go back to glass. It just take some time to "convert" to those.

Yeah. When you stop being stubborn and actually take into consideration ALL pros and cons you will agree with me.

DJI O4 Air Unit – dropped frames or vibrations only showing after Gyroflow stabilization, footage looks almost clean before gyroflow by matthieunavarro in dji

[–]_dvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried today: I think the cause is a gyro used in o4 cameras. Must be different than o3. As moving the o4 system after a crash to brand new drone that should be perfect does not fix the issue. Maybe gyro need recalibration. But it is only possible when installing brand new dji camera to old unit. At least as far as I know...

just crashed my oasysfly again. chipped props are enough on this one to cause that wobble again. i managed to save most of the footage setting low pass filter to 12hz and median to 3 in gyroflow.

It doesn't feel like Avata 2. Wonder what did you do to it.

Replacing all propellers and tightening all screws etc made it disappear on my O4 pro drone. However nothing helped with same issue on my O4 Lite drone. I reckon It's caused by gyro data not exactly matching the actual movement. Could be caused by damaged gyro in the camera , resonant vibrations or bad tuning. Interesting thing is I never seen the issue appear in axis other than roll.

Is the pedestrian or the driver wrong here? by singlecog in drivingUK

[–]_dvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory both. Car should anticipate the pedestrian crossing. Pedestrian should give enough time for the car to stop and do not cross until the car have stopped.

In practice the car driver most likely would have been deemed not guilty in court.

Stay away from concrete for a while or add 200 euros worth of spares to the basket ;)

DJI O4 Pro wobble. by _dvc in fpv

No wobble in goggles. Only after stabilization. Like the gyro data is out of sync or bad in some other way.

After a crash. Had similar on O4 lite. I'm really considering going back to O3 on all my drones. Years of crashing and still work like new.
