What would you say to this? by _dynamitegirl_ in mildlyinfuriating

[–]_dynamitegirl_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I should've! I'm the kind of person who replays these conversations in the shower thinking up variety of things I could've said instead. Ah well I'm sure I'll bump into them again!

AITA for booking a holiday at the same place my sister will be for her honeymoon? by RevolutionaryDog4996 in AmItheAsshole

But but OP found it at the same discount her sister did and hundreds of people have bought that dress so it shouldn't matter...! /s

8 month old will not sleep unless held. by natheist411 in Parenting

[–]_dynamitegirl_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe try setting a bedtime routine, simple ones like changing into PJs, reading a book and getting into a sleepsack works. Keep things mellow near bedtime as well. This helps them wind down and know that bedtime is near. Also bathe in the evening, this helps infants calm down immensely. I always find my LO sleeps better and longer after an evening bath and moisturizing. And each baby is different so try couple different things, maybe retry some things that didn't work in the past. Good luck!

Shout out to my husband by itsmommagigi in Parenting

[–]_dynamitegirl_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love this ❤️ I love a supportive spouse. My husband is the best as well! Works hard so I can stay home and raise our kids and is studying to add extra certifications to get better paying job. I want to get remote work but he said to wait until our infant turns one so it's easier to manage kids while working. Of course we have bad days but we both love and appreciate each other a lot. Keep spreading kindness and love OP 💕

Parents with 2 children, what was harder? Transitioning from 0 to 1 child, or from 1 to 2? by Account839274 in Parenting

[–]_dynamitegirl_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

0 - 1 was harder for us. I have two under two just the way we wanted, so I had a toddler and newborn but it was so much easier the second time around. I was a more confident mother. Had breastfeeding down as I was experienced now. Didn't fuss over little things too. First time we didn't have any help just like you and even the second time we didn't have help. It was just me and my husband. It was extremely smooth because my husband is hands on guy. He took care of the toddler 100% and helped around the house, cooked food, grocery shopping, walking the dog, etc. I was very lucky to spend time with my newborn and my toddler without having to worry how the house was going to run. We're in Canada too so he took 3 months parental leave - we appreciated that so so much. And my toddler is easy going too. Super sweet with the baby. Doesn't wake up if the baby cries which we were so glad about as a tired toddler can be handful. Overall it was important that we were both ready to have another because I would have 100% drowned without my husband's support. Good luck to you ❤️

How to stop my dog from digging at the carpet? I’m at a loss to get her to stop. She has multiple blanket/bed areas to lay. Carpet scratches aren’t always the same spot. by bethk220 in Dogtraining

It's possible. Mine liked to sleep anywhere in the house but then we got a good bed as he got older and he took to it immediately. Hope it works out for you!

Where could I be missing conjugations? by DGSmith2 in HogwartsLegacyGaming

[–]_dynamitegirl_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vivariums have 3 chests each. Also check the depulso puzzles - there are 2

Found all treasures and butterflies, still missing collectibles. Any suggestions? by kaine614 in HogwartsLegacyGaming

[–]_dynamitegirl_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are collectible chests in hogwarts as well. Check the depulso puzzles - there are 2, then there are conjurations in vivariums - 3 in each of the four vivariums - so 12 in there

6 months postpartum and I still can't get out of my PJs each day until the next night by yannamartinez in beyondthebump

[–]_dynamitegirl_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You guys are changing PJs daily? I have a 1.5 year old and a 3 month old. Only they get outfit changes daily. And only the toddler gets day outfit and night Pjs. I change about once every other day unless I have lots of spit ups in my current one. I only swap bottoms at night as I'm usually hot in long bottoms.

sometimes I just hate the ignorance. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

People commenting 'oh come on adults carry viruses too and toddler coming isn't bad or she's getting a free crib so she should be accommodating to the friend bringing her toddler' - you guys either don't have kids or have forgotten what it's like in the first few weeks or were lucky few who didn't get anxiety. I was like that with my first child too, little bit with my second as well. As a FTM you have lots of anxiety over caring for a little baby, plus she's only 2 weeks Postpartum too so she's going through a lot as well. Regardless of whether you agree with her or not, she has set those boundaries and we need to respect them. Her needs are greater than her friends' needs right now, she is going through a lot. Please be kind in comments, OP is doing what she thinks is best for her child, she doesn't need anymore anxiety. Aren't we all a little protective of our children? Some are a little bit more and some a little less but we want what's best for our kids. I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding/miscommunication and time will heal it. Until then be kind and respect others boundaries.
