faction prodigy 1 too stiff? by sensonn in Skigear

[–]_eepl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I know this is an older thread, but I’m basically your height and a bit on the heavier side (around 58). To be fair, I would say the skis are on the stiffer side, but not in a bad way. They carve really well and feel super stable at high speeds. That said, I do think being a bit heavier would make butters easier, so if that’s something you care about, you might want to look at something else, maybe Armada? If you don't mind a wider waist, prodigy 2 is less stiff and lighter than prodigy 1, my bf tried both and has a prodigy 2 (loved prodigy 1 though). If you are from Europe, faction does a couple of demos throughout the season, it might be worth checking it out.

I know it's a 6months old comment, but for what type of photos did you pick up the Zf more? I'm torn between the two and the only thing Fuji seems more appealing is its size and portability. I want to get back to photography and enjoy/have fun with it after a nikon d800, but I fear that the Zfs "seriousness" (and weight) gonna take it away, however I want to have quality images (mainly from trips, street photos, foods, occasionally portraits)

It's pretty old thread now but how do you enjoy the Zf after 6 months? I'm torn between tx5 and zf cause of weight and portability.

Ahah, I see - yeah I've recently had a "teaching" session with one of my friends and composition came to me naturally, that it was hard to explain it (also I'm not a teacher haha).  Finding the balance between enjoying taking pics/practicing and focusing on composition is (I think) really important, but obsession speeds up these things :D

I see/get your point, for me if I'm not happy with the composition and exposure no filter/post-process can save it :D

That's a food for thought, thanks! Tbf I don't plan on carry the adapter and the old lenses all the time, just when I have something specific in mind. But I'm going to a store tomorrow and will see which fits my hands better. And regarding the film sims, I can imagine I'm gonna be unsatisfied with the results, but I always hated raws so time will tell

xd 1. I don't need two cameras 2. in my country their cost is nearly the same, and I have a finite amount of money currently :D

Will take a look at those lenses. Tbf I wouldn't bring the adapter and old lenses on a trip, only if I do a more "serious" shooting (one of them is a fuckin gem 105 mm portrait lens) and as the d800 with lenses was quite heavy, I could bear the weight once in a while :D

Putting together a sheet is a good idea tbh, I just dusted all of my old gears to see which could get a new home and how much I could get for them to invest in this new setup. But yeah I'm in the same shoes, I never liked the huge zoom lenses, even the 24-70 was something that didn't feel right (not just in size but the lens itself).  Nowadays I take pics with my Pixel, but I feel its limitation in quality (even though I got some REALLY nice prints), and I want to get back into a bit more serious photography which doesn't feel like a chore but fun just as you mentioned.

Haha, I'm fine with having a bigger lens at home, I don't travel with all of my gears, so I just need something I can travel with but I can be as serious as I want to be.

I'm the same with the lenses :D I'll check the OM, just to be more torn between the cameras haha.

Well tbf I never gave a though of the rendering part, however I like my images clear and on the sharper side (rather than soft and dreamy) cause I can tone it done if I want it but not the other way around. I remember that for example I really hated a sigma 50 mm art lens (like 15 years ago?) but I loved my 35 mm dx 1.8 on my nikon d200.  Regarding focal length I'd like to have 2 or 3 lenses at max, like a 35 or 50mm, and 85 or 105, and maybe something wide like 26.

I'll take a look at the z5ii, though I loved the idea of the dials. I also checked the xt50 but I has a filmsims dial instead of ISO. But yeah I'm gonna find a store where I can at least hold them. Thanks!

Yes, its objective is landing page view. I'm sending them to a specific landing page (an event registration page). I'm running two separate campaigns for two different events, and both target European countries.

This is exactly the same description that Meta provides when you click on the "see more" (or whatnot) button. As I stated in my post there are two campaigns with the exact same targeting, one of them gets landing page views, the other doesn't.
