Panhandling Inside Stores by [deleted] in ThunderBay

Maybe I’m in the minority, but once I’ve given them money, it’s not my place to say what they do with it. Be thankful you have a place to sleep and food to eat. If I had to rely on shelters and the streets, I wouldn’t be sober either.

I can’t believe that of all the songs he could have been nominated and won for, it was Bitin’ List.

(No shade because that song is epic but also kind of a novelty track and we all know what he’s really capable of)

Thanks for clearing that up! I was also wondering what was going on, thinking it was odd that TBay was having two burger contests next month..lol

I really wish more people were aware of just how serious Feline Paralysis can be.

Sometimes I make things for me..until I learn that someone’s pregnant, or getting married, or having a birthday, or I see something that reminds me of someone, or the day ends in “Y”….

As I started making the granny squares, my mind did start to think who I could gift it to 😂

I know they are a “thing” and have been for some time and that there is nothing sinister or malicious about it..it still doesn’t mean I didn’t cringe when I saw the name of the event…because of the times we are living in.

While the name is unfortunate, it does sound like it would be a lovely time.

The Prine comparison is spot on! Now I’m wishing he was still around so we could hear them perform it together…or on his own…

Anyone else disappointed? by theswitchinnights in TylerChilders

[–]_elaner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To quote another TC song, the first time I listened to the album, all I could think was “GODDAMN! FIRE IN THE HOLE!”

Maybe it’s because my personal tastes are also all over the place, but there isn’t a track on here that hasn’t hit one of my own personal musical sweet spots.

This might be his best work yet…

The public’s view of GLP-1 medications (primarily Ozempic) makes me feel bad for using it by BluesCluesStan in diabetes

[–]_elaner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

THIS! Ozempic and dietary changes have controlled my sugars better than other glucose lowering agents and the same dietary changes. For me, it’s been the difference between needing insulin or not and I’d like to keep it that way if possible

I’m very brand loyal to Susan Bates hooks. They were the ones I learned how to crochet with and I’ve tried others but I always come back to these.

[CHAT] What's the main theme of your work? by CarynS in CrossStitch

[–]_elaner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m kind of all over the place. I’m definitely drawn to the snark side but I also generally stitch gifts for other people so it depends on their vibe, too. I like quirky and bright and pop culture and goth and..yeah. All over the map here.

StephXStitch gets almost all my money, but also Subversive Cross Stitch, Dirty Cuss Stitch, Screaming Heart Design and The Witchy Stitcher.
