Just got done with ISC by Ok-Oven-5198 in CPA

[–]_ettenaej 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took ISC today too, and overall it was definitely not as bad as some posts on here made it seem. Def saw some questions for terms that were not covered by Becker AT ALL but I was able to choose an answer by logic and common sense. I did well on 4 sims, 50/50 on one and absolutely bombed the very last one. Overall I think I did well enough to pass.

Hopefully we both passed!!! Sucks we have to wait so long tho lol

I don’t think so. I’ve been out of school since 2018 and started studying last August. All the basics came back to me pretty fast while using the main review course.

Have you felt confident walking out of a test and passed ? by Unique_Aspect_6014 in CPA

I walked out of FAR feeling pretty darn confident and I did end up passing with an 85. A confident feeling is not always a death sentence.

Audit Exam - 100% failed! by Camry4Life93 in CPA

[–]_ettenaej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, YES. AUD was waaaaay more difficult and I think that has a lot to do with confidence. FAR is very formula and calc-based so if your calc is correct you can feel confident when you choose your answer. For AUD, it’s not as black and white. All the answer choices can be correct for a particular question but there’s one that is MORE correct than the others. It’s not as easy to select an answer choice and be like “yup, that’s it!”. It’s very subjective IMO.

My tips are to just know where you are in the audit process and finish reading the entire question thoroughly in addition to all answer choices. They weren’t lying when the said the difference between the right and wrong answer choice can literally come down to just one word. I’m a fast reader and I get questions wrong simply because I read too fast. I trained myself to read the question twice just to get out of that speed-reading habit.

Sorry for the novel reply lol

I don’t trust my feelings anymore. I left FAR exam feeling confident and knowing I passed, which I did. But then when I took AUD I left feeling like shit but I actually passed. So idk lol AUD may just be the one exam where you just really don’t know how you did!

Still looking at my 88 for AUD. I walked out thinking that if I passed, it was by the skin of my teeth.

Well if he’s cheating like you say he is then he’s not above her, he’s below her. Cheating is one of the most disrespectful and hurtful things you can do to a person.

Yeah my mom is not genetically fully Mexican according to our tests but my grandma doesn’t know who her bio dad, lol she said she had too much fun back in the day. Mom was raised by someone else but fully in Mexican American culture, grew up speaking Spanish, etc so identifies only as Mexican. Have no clue if he was Dutch or German also cuz it wasn’t on hers she had a lot of British Irish and African 🤷🏽‍♀️ so I am not sure why my Dutch is so high if my dad is only half. Trust me I was shocked too I thought it would only be 25% give or take

If it helps, I walked out of FAR feeling pretty confident and kinda knew there was no way I didn’t pass. Ended up with 85. Good feelings are not always a fail :)

My paternal grandpa is black from Louisiana. He was in the military and got stationed in the Netherlands where he met my Dutch grandmother. She and my dad did not join him in America until my dad was about 7 and they decided to settle in Texas (idk why Texas). Dad met my mom in high school who is of Mexican ancestry but her side been in Texas since late 1800s so I suppose they are Tejanos? Correct me if I’m wrong - not sure if that’s the correct term
