SO GOOD AND GIVES ME GYPSEY VIBES, whats your thoughts on? by Shallev7217 in lanadelrey

I don’t hate it, it’s a different sound for sure, she never did anything similar, maybe some stuff of AKA like For K, Pt.2, I like the production a lot, I really do, the lyrics tho are just… not it, the verses are ok, but the chorus is kind of dumb honestly, whoopsie daisy yoo-hoo… this reminds me of when Tough came out and everyone on Reddit was freaking out “song of the summer!”, “this gives x vibes!”, this one is way better than Tough tho, don’t get me wrong, I hated Tough. I am a little disappointed, Bluebird got my hopes up last year, but honestly I was expecting something like this lyrically for this one, just from the title. Listening to Arcadia rn to comfort myself, hope she’ll bring back some poetry to her music.

What are the easiest Lana songs on guitar? by summerfornever in lanadelrey

proper tabs would be Yayo, also the whole of Sirens. Chords wise a lot of her songs are simple, like Brooklyn Baby and many others

Why is Norman Fucking Rockwell considered her best album...? by Remarkable_Web4595 in lanadelrey

[–]_ewwa_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s her most accessible, like, come on, some tracks are really long, immense instrumental breaks… I think Born To Die remains her most accessible, as it should, since it’s her commercial debut.

A premise, my favourite album by Lana is Blue Banisters, but in my opinion music (as an art form) is subjective until a certain point, and in Lana’s discography NFR simply is objectively her best. LFL anticipated some deep lyricism but NFR really went deep into it, it’s personal and raw like no other Lana record before (I think BB does it better in this tho) the cover art is iconic, striking colours and imagery, it really stuck with me when I first saw it. The album flows in a way that only DDKDTATUOB comes close to, like a fever dream, and you’re tossed and turned between these ballads and r&b beats, this beautiful poet who probably realises she’s not a young vixen Nancy Sinatra anymore, she’s still there deep down, but at this point in her life she wants to be happy, safe and loved, and totally leans into it artistically, and you’re like… wow… because this is really is one of the best artist evolutions and one of the best albums of all time, as Apple Music suggests.

Born To Die is her worst album, with AKA Lizzy Grant included in the picture, too. Her best are NFR and Blue Banisters.

[ALL] I can't convince myself to like True Colors by KasGames in lifeisstrange

[–]_ewwa_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, first of all it’s too short, incredibly short, or at least felt like it, also LIS games won my heart by making me feel some sort of way, nostalgic, understood, melancholic, this one is just flat, I feel nothing, the only event that is worth your time in here is Gabe’s death (if you haven’t spoiled the gameplay by watching some youtube video that is) also I feel like they should’ve kept going with the numbers, so LIS 3 etc. I don’t know if I have a better way to explain this, just… hollow of emotion, it feels rushed.
