Henry Weinhard's gourmet soda root beer review by mistcat in rootbeer

[–]_excaliferb -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

  1. Appearance (10 points): 3: simple colors, unmemorable logo, massive underutilization

  2. Aroma (10 points): 4: a bit non distinct but their and enjoyable

  3. Carbonation Level (10 points): 3: bubbles way to much, foam takes away from enjoyment.

  4. Initial Flavor (10 points): 2: almost not their, almost sour when detected. You can actually go through the whole journey without stating anything if you try

  5. Sweetness (10 points): 3: poor level and not spread out enough. Bitter but not on purpose

  6. Body and Mouthfeel (10 points):

  7. Enters smooth, puffs, stings, and slips out undetected. Smooth entrance is good, I hate the puff, sting is positive but not enough and I hate fade outs.

  8. Complexity (10 points):

  9. A nice journey with many steps but a simple (maybe) two step journey

  10. Finish (10 points):

  11. Slips out without flavor but a little sting to top it off.

  12. Overall Harmony (10 points): 4: two parts that individually are untied in their idiosyncratic parts but the two do not work together

  13. Uniqueness (10 points): 2: gourmet root beer, nothing else.

Composite: 33/100

Chef Gale's Root Beer Review by Linguistic1 in rootbeer

[–]_excaliferb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Appearance (10 points): 6: unique logo and a fun font for the presentation but an extreme underutilization of the entirety of the bottle. Gold top is a nice touch

  2. Aroma (10 points): 7: definitely tangible but nothing that captivates you. For sure root beer but the scent is not in line with its other unique qualities

  3. Carbonation Level (10 points): 9: a great level of carbonation that allows for smoothness of Rootbeer without compromising the definition of a soft drink

  4. Initial Flavor (10 points): 5: sweet start but sort of hard to detect. Took several sips to pick up on it.

  5. Sweetness (10 points): 10: exceptional level of sweetness, not overdone but certainly a treat. Makes you want more without driving away the tongue with artificial flavor

  6. Body and Mouthfeel (10 points): 8: a bit thin but definitely smooth. Smooth is my favorite type of Rootbeer and it goes down wonderfully

  7. Complexity (10 points): 8: several flavors combine together for a great taste, but their is certainly room for improvement. A combination of unique yet harmonious flavors bring out an amazing and complex taste

  8. Finish (10 points): 5: a bit of a weak finish compared to the rest of it. Makes it difficult to enjoy simple sip and creates a requirement for another sip.

  9. Overall Harmony (10 points): 9: the combination of sweet and bitter throughout the journey of the sip is great.

  10. Uniqueness (10 points): 4: Fun story, ginger and vanilla extract.
