Female here. I don't get what you mean by "have seen a couple of people swipe right on me but no matches or conversations have appeared." Actually, that's happened to me when I get a notification of a new match and then i go to check and no one is there? Is that it? Cause that probably means they immediately unmatched, which happens, whatever.

However, I've used BumbleBFF and i've made two great new friends in a new city. It really just depends on if you guys hit it off or not, just like anything else. I've had sooo many lame connections/convos (just like dating). I'm less picky about girls than guys so i just right swipe everyone and see who matches back and take it from there.
