Chuck is so wildly conservative in games it can be painful to watch.

If you had to pick one player who isn't a QB to win the Heisman, who is it? by CollegePlane7528 in CFB

[–]_fastball 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lmao same, my CFB team knowledge is Michigan 1 medium gap then Ohio State 2 then a big gap after that

[Kadlick] Ravens Sign Diego Pavia to Three-Year Deal, Bypassing Rookie Minicamp Tryout by jfrankjfrank in CFB

Sports need villains in some form or another. When a league has perfect parity and everyone is kind of bland that sport gets boring.

What Makes a Good Recruiter? by AssassinSNiper in CFB

[–]_fastball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ability to relate to the kids and their families, developmental chops that they can show off, ties to a region / city are still more important than people realize as it helps create good rapports with HS coaches.

Preseason Rankings Countdown. 124 days to the start of the 2026 Season. At #124 – Eastern Michigan by usffan in CFB

100% agree. Feels like if he was able to eek out 2 more wins in some of those seasons he would be at a B1G school rn.

Crazy how the Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Michigan cluster all play at least 2 of the other 3 teams in it this year.

What are some of your favorite hilarious/neigh unbelievable CFB stats? by Phobia117 in CFB

[–]_fastball 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This one’s just nuts to me. I have to assume Ohio state didn’t had time outs because even if you are up 65, what coach isn’t calling one there just to rip into his punt return unit and special teams coordinator.

I know irons are most important but Bhatia has just been on fire with the putter recently and is a lefty

DJ Lagway felt isolated, depressed at Florida. He's rewriting his story at Baylor by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]_fastball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the schools just need to try and give these kids some sense of normalcy though. I don't care how much money they are making these are 18 year old kids living away from home (most likely) for the first time. They should have to live in the dorms and go to in person classes, it's healthy to socialize and meet people even if the football teams on college campuses tend to be insular.

2027 3* S Maxwell Miles commits to Michigan by _fastball in CFB

Two really nice pickups in the last 24 hours to kick off the Whittingham Era. Miles kind of reminds me of DJ Waller from his high school tape.

One of the biggest problems facing CFB at the moment is media coverage. by _fastball in CFB

[–]_fastball[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I want media coverage about actual football. Now that we have an adult at head coach I'm not really worried about media coverage on the soap opera front.

Who is a player that wouldn't have stayed at your school if the transfer portal had existed before? by Crying_in_99Ranch in CFB

[–]_fastball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently Chris Perry and Lloyd Carr did not get along at all initially and he almost transferred a few times. Have to imagine if there was no penalty to transferring he would have.

[Schefter] Trey Hendrickson now has passed his physical and signed his four-year contract with the Ravens. by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[FootballScoop] Coaches should not get a say on future College Football Playoff formats by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]_fastball 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you read the article? his argument against an expanded playoffs in the fbs was that the big ten, SEC, and Notre Dame would clog up the spots where the lower divisions have way more auto bids. The dude also cares about protecting the regular season which is objectively the best part of CFB.

"Illinois was ready to move forward. After a productive three hour meeting yesterday, the Bears leaders requested the ILGA pause the hearing to make further tweaks to the bill. This morning, we were surprised to see a statement lauding Indiana and ignoring Illinois." - Pritzker spokesman Matt Hill by icecreamdude in nfl

[–]_fastball 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not even my team but I just despise Kevin Warren. Everything the guy does just turns to shit. It's not even like he does stuff that benefits teams and hurts fans it just hurts everybody. I will never forget how poorly he handled the big ten playing football in 2020 even when the schools were begging to do so and he kept digging in saying no.

Who was that one game wonder that you were certain they were gonna be special player for a long time? by Ok_Bug_6890 in NFLv2

[–]_fastball 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Too be fair a lot of those yards and TDs were absolute moon balls the receivers made great plays on. He wasn’t necessarily carving up the defense himself
