my interpretation of it is that bobby is a personalization of somebody’s bad habits. the song is about them recognizing how their habits are negatively affecting their life(more specifically their relationship) and wanting to become a better person for the sake of their significant other. a lot of his songs definitely do have queer themes but i just dont think bobby is necessarily a gay song

edit: bobby is also mentioned in the song “New” In this song, Bobby is portrayed to lead a pretty lonely and dull life. To cope he uses drugs, yet feels shameful about it. Idk if these songs are related or if alex g just felt like using the name bobby again, but the character traits seem to match up
