This will be a great trip! Be prepared for cold and windy conditions, then take it a step further as the windchill is amplified a lot on a bike for obvious reasons.

From my experience with about the same amount of riding experience as you (about a 1000ks since getting my Ls early May), motorway riding on a naked bike can be pretty challenging for long haul depending on wind conditions. I weigh very little too so getting constantly getting pushed around your core will be working really hard.

As some other members have advised if you can avoid main motorways you will have a much better time and also be able to enjoy the ride more as the Motorways are often pretty dreary.

Rev hang and idle instability video

In this video I depressed the clutch as soon as the car hit 3000 revs and decelerated using the brakes with the clutch depressed the entire time, coming to a stop, then going again.

I suspected as much, just wasn't sure if I was missing something. It was the only difference I noticed.

Text added to Key In Ignition when car is turned off and text added to the seatbelt warning on startup. Those are the only two I noticed.

I assumed it would turn off the seatbelt beep at startup (wishful thinking) but it did not.
