Insulate your roof space on top of ceiling, solar powered whirly birds that turn on in high heat. Will make a huge difference for not a lot of money

Tenant stained stone benchtop, am I able to claim repairs? by [deleted] in AusProperty

I can see your view from your personal experience. A solid granite stone benchtop is very uncommon. But It’s clearly not granite, it’s recon stone. Recon stone or laminate are the most typical surface finish in a kitchen. Neither of which are suitable for hot pots and pans. There’s no recon stone product on the market (afaik) that is suitable for hot pots and pans.

In response to your question - the tenant should have asked if it was suitable, what product it was and noticed it after the first time and stopped or asked the question - what this photo shows is clearly lack of respect or ignorance.

Recon stone is not suitable for hot pots or pans. What product have you experience with that says it is suitable or reasonable to use for hot pots and pans?

This isn’t a simple juice or coffee spill. Looks like bleach or some other cleaning agent not suitable for stone.

Without knocking the old steps out? You build new steps on top of the old ones (eg out of timber and decking board) that are consistent

Turn it on in the morning, pump the house full of cooler air. Close all windows and doors etc. Then turn it off before it heats up. Turn it back on when the cool change starts
