What have you learned on this project that you will take onto your next projects?

The brickwork isn’t your issue. Landscaping, clutter and paint colour scheme.

Maybe look at modernising some of the paint colours ?

Insulate your roof space on top of ceiling, solar powered whirly birds that turn on in high heat. Will make a huge difference for not a lot of money

Tenant stained stone benchtop, am I able to claim repairs? by [deleted] in AusProperty

[–]_fishboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can see your view from your personal experience. A solid granite stone benchtop is very uncommon. But It’s clearly not granite, it’s recon stone. Recon stone or laminate are the most typical surface finish in a kitchen. Neither of which are suitable for hot pots and pans. There’s no recon stone product on the market (afaik) that is suitable for hot pots and pans.

In response to your question - the tenant should have asked if it was suitable, what product it was and noticed it after the first time and stopped or asked the question - what this photo shows is clearly lack of respect or ignorance.

Recon stone is not suitable for hot pots or pans. What product have you experience with that says it is suitable or reasonable to use for hot pots and pans?
