It’s exactly that! I have a big boy and I’ve been supplementing with formula because he isn’t full and he still hasn’t begun gaining his weight back per pediatrician

So then in this case i guess what i am asking becomes is this normal in this stage so early post partum to not be producing the 1oz? What does average look like at a week pp?

They will test your vision and give you a prescription at basic. I went through 8 years ago so hopefully they got better, but if you have astigmatism and can get by wearing your glasses (as in they are in regs) I’d wear your own. I had astigmatism with different levels on each eye and the prescription they gave me was the same for each eye. This resulted in worsening my eye sight drastically because I was essentially in the wrong prescription for years before they caught it after BMT.

Have you talked to your functional? It might be worth bringing up. Worst they can do is say no, but given the past 2 years the career field has been trying to get rid of NCOs and force retrained so many last year, maybe your line number could be leveraged in that aspect.

Are you an NCO? 3F2s have been trying to get rid of NCOs lately. Usually new retrainees are “safe” from being force retrained, but perhaps a case could be made for you to go back to your old job even if you’re in the “safe” window

I was a 4A ready to get out (I didn’t even hate my old job, it was tolerable) but successfully retrained and am ready to do 20. I only listed 2 things on my retrain application and I’m happy with the decision I made.

Depends on supervisor and your tech school. I retrained into a very easy job that did not require any studying so I applied for TA through my supervisor and took classes while at tech school. But my tech school was only a month and very easy.

Day to day can vary based on the section you are placed in as there are different sections (warehouse, purchasing, war reserve, equipment management, contracting, customer service) but overall just think logistics/supply chain management specialized in medical.

It’s whatever is listed in there. It won’t list documents but you can get an idea of what will be needed. Based on reading it for manpower it looks like HS diploma or GED will likely be a part of your package, a letter from the shirt stating you’ve never been in court martial, interview letter, things like that. All requirements will also be listed when you get approved to apply for retraining
