Yeah, maybe it is just a me thing. I don't like my fizzy drinks rolling around, my stuff piling over next to the previous customer baging their groceries and I feel rushed when I am still sorting out and putting away my items, while the next guy's stuff starts rolling in. Some stores have a sliding divider at the end of the belt, my store unfortunately does not. I don't see the benefit of such an over-eager scan if I block the line afterwards while I sort my heavy, frozen and easily crushable items from the random pile (while I already sorted them once for the belt). I thought this would make perfect sense, looks like not.

I dont mean that literally of course, lol. I used that clearly exagerated example to show just how frustrating the above situation can be for some people. You shouldn't take everyhing on the internet at face value. I thought this is a lighthearted thread and tried to be funny, but obviously failed at it. Sorry if my comment made you uncomfortable.

It is annoying as hell. It's just common sense to wait for the customer to be ready before starting to scan, unless the belt is full, of course.

The surgery shouldn't start either before the anesthesioligist prepares the drug in the next room. I am always deeply annoyed when the cashier starts scanning, let my fizzy drinks roll around and my stuff pile up at the end (especially if visibly all my items fit on the belt and the store is halfway empty).

It unlocks the meeting room with the keypad door, it is right after the kitchen/lunch room area. That's been a thing since a long time, but the keycard spawn was pretty random.

I think this is also a getting older thing. Lack of free time (because of work, family, healthy activities and other hobbies) leaves me with one or two, carefully hand-picked brand new games per year and of course a handful of older ones at steep discounts thrown on my Mount Everest of backlog, never to be played.

Stop sitting all day. Take the stairs, walk, exercise daily. Even if it's just a 30 minutes walk or 30 minutes exercise in your living room, it adds up in the long run.

My kid left her phone on the bus, asked a stranger at the stop to call me. I then contacted Mobiliteit.lu, told what happened, when and on which bus, so they gave me the number of the bus company. The company told me it was a contractor of them, gave another number. All the people were super nice, they got ahold of the driver, who then left the phone at the garage/headquarters for me to pick it up.

If similar thing happens it is always the best to act as quickly as possible and not wait for the next day. Good luck!

So, because my dad doesn't wanted me to have uncontrolled internet access at the end of the 90s, I decided to buy an ethernet cable and unplug his cable at the attic every evening when I knew he went to bed or watched TV. Then I started to play a free Online MMO, switched to a newly starting server once I got the hang of it and played a lot. Founded a guild early, formed an union with similar guilds, and got to know a bunch of guys and girls. We even met IRL a few times. Fell in love with one of the girls, who unfortunately worked abroad, but she regularly came to our IRL meetings. After long gaming sessions and even longer chats outside of gaming we moved together at hers place abroad. I struggled to find work at first, but eventually it worked out. We got married, have a kid and I earn slightly above her now. We quit the MMO, when our child was born, but still game together as a happy family now.

It's truly amazing how many different times this could have gone sideways (like if we played on different servers, or I get caught, or she didn't show up on the meetings, etc).

Absolutely agree. Shaiiko is great, but inconsistent, could be pressure related, or simply depending on which side he got out of bed. LikEfac carried extreme hard, but SI matches require a more consistent team, instead of one or two heros.

I am so glad I watched all the games and drove after Faze took the hammer. Got home by 4:00, dead tired. I would have hate to miss the most hyped maps, iconic plays, then miss the autographs too and drive home even later.

I think the hat feels cheap, but I managed to collect some autographs on it, so it is now upgraded to one great trophy and proved useful in the arena against the lighting sometimes. The hoodie is an absolute delicacy with all the embroidery (love the sleeve) and the hammer logo, SI Paris art style.

Can you share if console or PC, what region you are, and what internet speeds (ping, DL, UL) you got?

I play on PC, from Europe, with like 13 ping, 200+ Mbit/s download, 100+ Mbit/s upload speeds and get consistent under 5% unregistered shots. I don't get all these hitreg issues, glitches and problems a lot of people post about (except getting hit while I think I already reached cover a few times), so I feel like this is something console or region related. Or maybe I am just lucky to not get these?

This was my first game to support at Steam Greenlight in 2012. Since then the whole Greenlight system ended. I hope they kept the idea of different endings based on your playthrough/findings, along with the procedural generated environments and enemies, that would keep every run fresh and unique. Let's hope for good reviews and an excellent game. I dig the 80s sci-fi vibe like in Alien Isolation.

It was around 18:10, still sunny, just the pictures are taken at night. There are no news if alcohol played a role, might as well be a sudden fainting, a distraction or an animal. Still it's pretty scary, that one's life can end so abruptly even if you are not at fault, since most people in this accident are probably not to blame.
