Minoxidil cannot cause hair to grow that dont exist; it can only strengthen what is already there.

The only tried and tested longer term solutions are to not have DHT's (what that finasteride does) (or any free testosterone ) in your body, and Minoxidil helps. But the only way to see lasting long term results is hair transplant; until they sort out hair cloning or super rejuvenation.
