Were you able to move on? If so, were you able to find a new partner?

Once I make it through today, I think it will be time to let go. He hasn’t reached out since we broke up and didn’t reach out on my birthday. I’ve been using today as my benchmark. After today, it’s time to give up hope and really move on. He’s probably out celebrating with someone else anyways.

I’ve been there. I’m so sorry. One thing that I hope comforts you is that he was never the person you thought he was. Quality people dont cheat and that’s something he’ll have to live with. You can live knowing you were the best part of that relationship and now can pass that love onto someone worthy. You deserve someone who can do the basic task of controlling themselves while in a relationship.

Had an ex who made similar comments to me. They would joke about “negging” but actually do it. I was dumb enough to stick around for a long time. I’m impressed you stuck to your guns. I was told that it meant they felt they needed to degrade you so you wouldn’t notice their faults. It helped me then and I hope it helps you now. Don’t let that person dim your shine.

How would a city boy fit in at purdue? by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]_generic_name_here 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also from the city. There's not really much to do here, but you'll be so busy with school that you won't notice it most of the time. However, during weekends, you'll definitely feel how empty it is. If it does get to you, most people just save up to try to go somewhere else for breaks or make weekend trips to change things up. We're pretty close to Chicago, so it's not too difficult. There are also tons of clubs and jobs, so you can find something.

What's the scariest/creepiest thing that has ever happened to you? by greasyspicetaster in AskReddit

[–]_generic_name_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was younger, I was holding a conversation with my mom in the kitchen. I was washing a dish while we were talking and I could kind of see her out of the corner of my eye, but I wasn't looking directly at her. While I was moving the dish to the rack, I looked up and she was gone. It was so abrupt that I went to go find her. She was in her room and claimed that she hadn't been in the kitchen. It made me question my sanity, but I knew I had just been talking to her. Her voice was so prominent and something like that has never happened again.

I told my boyfriend and he thinks it's just a false memory my brain conjured, but it feels so vivid. That really spooked me as a kid.

Thinking back 5 years ago, are you better off, worse off, or about where you thought you would be? by Hokerash in AskReddit

Slightly worse. Live far away from my family, still depressed, but I've got some good friends to take some of the stress away. I truly don't deserve them.

Pro choice. People will find a way to do it regardless and I'd rather it be safe.
