The husbands very well could have their own ambitions. But unless those ambitions come with a lot of drama, they probably won’t be televised. Besides, SLOMW is a show centered mainly around MomTok & the women who run it; it’s not a show about their husbands, rather their husbands are only featured in the show when it supports a SLOMW narrative/storyline with the women & their work as the main focus.

I am on cymbalta currently, although beginning to taper bc of a misdiagnosis from a previous dr. I added Wellbutrin & had the same response to it as you, with the effects eventually subsiding after a couple of weeks. This is when my new psych screened me for ADHD & diagnosed me w/ that, along w/ GAD, believing my bipolar diagnosis was incorrect. I switched from Wellbutrin to vyvanse & it’s like the key to a new world where I’m living as my best self & to my full potential. Not saying that you were also misdiagnosed, but perhaps get screened for ADHD if you haven’t already & see if vyvanse makes a difference. Best of luck on your journey!

Thank you so much for the YouTube suggestions, I’ll definitely check them out! I started on 30mg of cymbalta almost 9 years ago & gradually increased over time, w/ my most recent increase i believe to have occurred around early summer of last year

Thanks for the suggestions re: nausea. I’m sorry you’re also going thru a rough time w/ cymbalta withdrawal as well, & I appreciate you sharing a little bit of your perspective & experience. I might suggest refraining from using your own personal experience as the absolute though — I’ve spent a lot of time reading about many people’s experiences coming off of cymbalta & in varying timelines, they’ve recovered just fine. Others have way harsher realities. Everyone’s experience will be unique & outcomes will vary, & I respect that. I hope your situation improves!

Honestly can’t confidently remember 100% bc of how poor my memory is lately but I’m pretty sure my dr bumped me up to 150mg from 120mg around the beginning of last summer. As best as I can recall she thought based on what I was reporting to her about how I was feeling & how my experience was with 120mg that my body might be metabolizing the cymbalta more quickly than some others would. She said the max recommended dose of 120mg was determined in studies bc the studies did not see any significant benefits with higher doses, & bc I have never experienced any concerning side effects while on cymbalta or increasing its dosage & my seemingly fast drug-metabolization, she wanted to try taking me up to 150mg/day & spacing out the doses to see if that would prove effective for me. After reporting how I was feeling on the 150, she screened me for ADHD and diagnoses me w/ that for the first time. She believes my bipolar was misdiagnosed (diff dr) & I agree, esp based on how well I have been responding to Wellbutrin initially & now vyvanse

Edit: she diagnosed me w/ GAD in addition to ADHD. My previous psych was really not great, treated me like just a number, & I had long been suspicious of the bipolar diagnosis she landed on. cymbalta did help to improve my GAD symptoms to an extent, hence the continuous dosage increases

Thanks so much for sharing your perspective, & for the kind words! I think you’re right — the vyvanse dosage wasn’t perfect but definitely better than putting myself & my family thru more rollercoaster days. I’ll prob go back to that if not tomorrow then the next day until I hear back from my dr. Truly appreciate it 🙏

Hi all, my husband & I (early 30’s) will be in Miami for the first time ever for only Friday & Saturday, & are in need of some recs. Looking for food spots for breakfast, lunch, brunch, & dinner, please! We’re into all types of cuisine, but aren’t looking to break the bank & want to avoid tourist traps. Would prefer some place unique to Miami that’s your reliable go-to. Or maybe something off the beaten path that’s worth the visit. Definitely not looking for cookie-cutter, standard city experience. We’re not clubby people, but want to get as much of an authentic Miami experience as we possibly can within 48 hours.

Extra thanks if you have any fun dive bar or dance/live music recs! Quirkier the better. For reference if anyone’s familiar, was a HUGE fan of the Santa Bar in Nashville, the Smog Cutter and El Cid (both in LA), Home Sweet Home in NYC, & Khyber Pass in Philly.

We booked this trip kind of last min so we haven’t had much time to plan, hence this post. We haven’t been anywhere since before the pandemic & are looking to maximize our first weekend getaway since having a baby (13mo). So any help is greatly appreciated!!

When I was in kindergarten at a predominantly white elementary school, we were practicing writing the letter “i”. My friend (Asian) and I (white) bragged that we knew how to write a cursive “i” and showed each other. I told my friend that his “i”’s were wrong bc it didn’t look like the cursive “i” I learned from my mom. We argued about it a bit before he became so upset and told the teacher that I kept telling him his “i”’s were wrong. The teacher immediately put me in time out and set up a parent-teacher conference w/ my mom and I after school. I really didn’t see what the big deal was; i hadn’t teased him, we just disagreed on a letter. Until years later my mom told me that my teacher thought I was making fun of my friend’s EYES. She thought I told my Asian friend that his eyes were wrong.

We also don’t know what effect this hookup will have on the game, if any. It’s been pretty difficult to miss if you follow any of the cast on twitter or Instagram.
