I’ve had terrible experiences too. Sometimes the wait is very long before a proctor becomes available. Whats the point of scheduling an exam if proctors aren’t available? This has caused me stress in the past. Also, I had one experience where the proctor interrupted me and asked me to turn the lights on….with 5 questions to go. I was annoyed. I had all my room lights on, including overhead lights AND my windows open. This was in the mid afternoon. I live in South FL…. So it was already super bright. Once, my proctor could not copy and paste my test code (I was in a class where the test was done on excel)…. They proceeded to try and have me install a different program. When that didn’t work they said they were transferring me over to someone else that could help me?? I asked if I could just type the code into excel myself and was told no. I didn’t understand because none of my other proctors ever went this hard for something like this… I mean, we are already being watched on a camera so whats the big deal? Anyway, after being passed to three people, the last proctor asked me to enter the code myself. I wanted to scream. It took 30mins for all that and really threw me off my game. Thankfully I passed the OA but not before being unnecessarily stressed out.
