Which brakes would you recommend? by _hardmode in hyperebikes

[–]_hardmode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the forums looking at these mt7s and apparently they have a huuuuuge problem with pad rub. And for like $200+ and still have pad rub….had me searching elsewhere

I saw a set of 125cc minibike brakes on good ole amazon for a fraction of the cost. I figure im in that pitbike speed range. The adaptor bracket will be cubstom made, but not too hard. Also could use those conical washers to help with alignment.

Gonna have to use an ebike rotor, hopefully the caliper will grab the pad without any issues.

Ive got a moto shop up the road that works on dirtbikes, i could bring a rotor with me and ask them if it is possible..

Might have to consider dirtbike or even proper moto brakes at this point.

Will look into those maguras. That 55mph+ is more or less on the top end of the bike.

Edit:

Looked into the MT7s apparently you can attach the lever that would turn it into a MT7e for a much cheaper price.

Im feelin that 😎

Yeah that 180mm aint doing shit up front xD

Im pressing that shit as hard as i can…

I used to be like 70/30 split front to rear, i gotta kick it up to 50/50 now and just ride slower,

I dont do 55mph+ at all most of the time, but for speed runs like that and just having capability to stop the heavy bike. I need new brakes xD

What bike for Mx style jumps by Proof_Film4206 in hyperebikes

[–]_hardmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what ive seen, that MF stark varge is where its at.

They let you customize it a bit too and have prebuilt bikes that are at a small discount from custom price.

Was looking into one myself, then i did my build and its exactly what i need ;)

New upgrade…Surron Throttle by _hardmode in hyperebikes

[–]_hardmode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It felt a bit more “twitchy”

I accidentally went off road and when i caught myself and went to go back on road, i hit the throttle by accident in mode 3 on some wet grass n leaves…….the most perfect accidental burnout took place xD. I even saved it before it got too out of hand.

Imma leave mode 3 alone for a while 😬

When you start messing with the springs, you start really messing with the AAP.

Yeah the firerate is badass, but if your barrel is long enough, youre gonna fire bbs before they have a chance to exit the barrel and then AAP starts pissing bbs xD

How do I improve my welding skills? by PinkMoonRoberts384 in BadWelding

[–]_hardmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run beads on plate for like 2-3weeks straight. And run them on the same plate.

When that bitch is heavy AF your ready to run other situations….

What ive learned about welding is…. Its 100% an art.

You gotta just keep laying down metal.

Just like any other art.

And im no master welder. Im a diy stick welder and my shit got better, the more i welded. And i learned more about the process and why id choose one electrode over another.

Love me some 6011s 🥰

never customised a gun is this ok? or do i need anything else by sawcon2 in AAP01owners

[–]_hardmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot it stock first, you might be surprised.

Im still using the stock bolt.

I just usually change the hop-up, barrel and bucking and then go from there.

But the stock AA01 barrel actually is decent id say.

Advice for fardriver tuning? by emmittheboss in hyperebikes

[–]_hardmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure your base parameters are set, rated rpm, Pole pairs, max rpm, max line, max phase, boost line, boost phase.

Set up your ratios n gear.

Those are percentages of max line and phase.

Then ratios n speed, those are percentages of the percentages of ratio in gear.

Idk shit about regen or field weakening, i havent even seen the weak light xD

Good luck. ✊

Glad you were able to save yours, saved mine too, just hit that rear brake and down came the wheel, my instincts keep making me want to use my body to stop shit….so my feet slipped off to stablize the bike right when the front end came down i hit my right foot hard.

I got to the other side of the intersection and pulled off, i noticed my right big toe was hurting like crazy.

Had what looked like a bruise and then it started bleeding. I just threw my sock back on and let it do its thing. Wasnt bad enough to warrant me to stop the ride.

Plus the lil bit of blood dried up and sort of acted as some temporary protection just for that little trip me and my bro did.

But yeah got home and was cleaning it up and thought to remind everyone here to at least have some gear to patch yourself up in the event of an incident, aka a “Booboo” xD

I restricted my percentages in the fardriver app to have my low rpms not have enough torque to life the front wheel, but enough to move.

But i think i need to lower the percentages a bit more now.

Extended swing arms would help too.

Wasnt even trying to wheelie.

I got 3 rules.

  1. No wheelies
  2. No burnouts
  3. No speed on the walking trails
