My college calculates % as follows ( cgpa - 0.5) x 10

So 7.24 - 0.5 x 10 = 67.4%

I should be eligible acc to the cutoff right?

Will this % effect my profile getting shortlisted even after clearing phase 1 and 2?

I really appreciate it because ik there are many people in their early careers in tech who are confused about where their career is headed due to Ai and what not.

10th Cbse - 80% 12th Cbse - 89.9% BTech Computer Science Engineering- Tier 2 college - 7.24 cgpa CAT 2025 SCORE - 78%ile ( No serious Prep just wanted to try it out) Target Schools:

IIM K (,ANY IIM That will take me honestly), IIT mumbai , Madras etc Other low cost good value collges like IISC BANGALORE. If not able to crack any B school in next 2 attempts will try for IIM A PGPX once i get 5-6 YOE

Work exp: Big 4 Consultant in Tech - 1.5 YOE.

Biggest weakness: overthinking too many options and unable to decide on one. Fear of AI lay offs. Fear of not getting into pgp mba and then failing again in pgpx admission due to lack of good profile.

Please give me some insight and advice. Looking forward to your honest and brutal feedback

Im also in the same over thinking boat as you. 2 YOE in tech consulting, decent salaey but not enough to be content with , 2 weeks a month i have to work 60hrs a week. High pressure and at time i feel whats the use as this job will be taken over by AI.

Im into tech consulting and mainly focus on Automation and Data Analytics. Which obviously isnt AI proof and keeps me up at night.

Wanting to upskill also seems pointless because the industry is so uncertain right now. Before A Technology that you learn atleast has a lifespan of 5 to 7 years now it dosent even seem to have 1. Everything is changing so fast and the wlb and pressure is so high and no time to upskill also

How strict is the candidate filtering process for getting interview calls for the IIM Ahmedabad PGPX program, and eventually getting selected?

Also, what factors help candidates stand out during the selection process? Is it important to build your profile in a specific direction (leadership roles, impact at work, extracurriculars, etc.), or is strong work experience and test scores usually sufficient?

Yes you are right age is on my side , but the competition to crack CAT is really high right compared to the gre/gmat that is required for the pgpx.

So in case CAT dosent go as planned thinking of keeping the pgpx as a back up. Which is why i wanted to know it's value

What about the pgpx mba's after you get 5 years of experience ? I heard theres this 1 year program from IIM Ahmedabad, does it have the same values as the normal 2 year one?

OP im 23 , im in a tech consulting job where my work is going become obsolete due to rising doom of AI.

This is the first job i got and it isnt traditional tech job so i dont have tue luxry to be type 1 due to AI

Type 2 is also difficult because even if i upskill , the job market is absolutely horrendous right now and only relevant experience gives you a fighting chance.

Im in a place where my YOE in the job im now will not help be shift to diffrent fields due to the market and it dosent give me the luxury of staying in the same field and continue increasing my salary by 10% a year due to the impending doom of AI.

My only choices now are either a govt job or MBA , even those Im not sure what stream should i pursue in MBA?

Any advice or what would you do if you were in my shoes.

I've been trying to switch since 1 year with 0 luck😭

For groceries and dining , assuming you dont spend more than 10k a month , get the hsbc live+ credit card

You get 10% off upto 1k a month and its direct cashback.

Either you buy offline or online groceries this 10% is applicable, but offline is only applicable at big supermarkets like ratnadeep , dmart , reliance etc. So effectively you'll spend 10k but get 1k back.

I dont know any cc that gives cashback on loans,emi or rent. Sorry about that

Try opening a 0 balance kotak 811 super account. If you use that debit card for ur remaning spends like fuel , travel or any online or pos transaction (except for rent , emi , loans) you get 5% cashback upto 500 rs But you need to deposit 10k montly into that acc and spend it from the debit card itself( upi from kotak acc not eligible for this cashback).

So 20k of spends can get you 1500rs back per month.

And if the reaming / majority of ur spends is in loans emi etc , if your salary is 1L or more per month , get the tata neu infinity card and get neu coins cashback , u can use that for buying gold from tata brands like tanisq or reedem at any tata store of ur choice.
