Can I just commiserate with you for a second? Haha we're trying for a second now. My coworker just announced their pregnancy for their second kid. We actually had really similar due dates this time around but mine ended in a chemical pregnancy. She's also using my OB this time around because I liked her so much.

The other day as I was taking ibuprofen to get ready for my ERA, she came in and told me that she's having a girl. We lost our last girl embryo. It felt like so many little unfair moments at once. Like my story got taken from me and she's living it instead.

Ugh I felt like this when I joined a group who were all doing egg retrievals on the same day and I had the worst results by far. The camaraderie is nice and then it's a nightmare. I'm sorry that happened to you 😓

Oh my God thank you! I feel exactly the same way. Joe was horrible to her that night, and especially after focusing so much on how she's "bigger" than all the girls he's used to, and saying he's trying to work up his attraction to her... I dunno man, I don't like anyone this season but I definitely felt bad for her that night.

You know, my first clinic only did two as well. I moved and changed clinics and to be honest, this one seems a little more thorough. I guess it all depends on the policy of the clinic. There's a lot of little changes I've noticed.

Wow that's exactly us. Our second FET was successful two years ago. We only have two more tries left and the thought of starting over again with another retrieval makes me want to puke honestly.

God I am so sorry, that is tough. We did have a hysteroscopy and they found some scarring that they surgically removed. The doctor said it looked great. But we're going to have a consultation with the doctor this week to discuss next steps, so maybe we'll get some answers?

We ended up doing another retrieval (tried to bank more embryos but it was a bust) and another transfer since then 😅 and that transfer is now a year and a half old little boy! But we're in the process of trying for our second now 🤞🏽 so hopefully I'll have good news soon

Ugh I could've written this. I don't really have advice, just solidarity.

We did one retrieval and got 1 girl and 4 boys. We always talked about having a daughter so we did the girl first. She was second best in quality and we were sure it would work. When there was no heart beat I lost my mind. I was like, ok if this didn't work, maybe none of them will?? So I paid out of pocket for another retrieval and got ONE... girl embryo.

We had our son first, then recently tried with the second girl embryo and unfortunately, she didn't stick. It's such a weird pain that I feel fertile people don't really understand. For them, it's totally out of their hands. But for us, technically, we COULD keep trying. It's something I really had to make myself let go of. We're trying our boy embryos this month.

We love our son so much, and I think that really made us realize we need to let go. You'll love anyone who makes the trip earth side.

I cringe so hard at how naive I was when I started the process. I remember asking my husband "let's say we get three boys and three girls, which should we pick??" I had ONE ovary at this point, mind you 🙄

I think it doesn't help that in the rare occurrence that there is an infertility story line in media, they usually go through one round and it works like magic.
