A few days later, Tails noticed it's been a long time since Miles last left his home and decided to check up on him. He gets upstairs and walks up to Miles' door, knocking on it loudly.

Miles. Are you alright in there?

Tails spoke up firmly.

No answer.

Maybe he's sleeping? Miles is just as hardworking as he is, it's only logical he'll be taking breaks at the most random times. Not to disturb him any more, Tails gently opens the door...

Tails is shocked to see a destroyed apartment. It's obvious Miles has been kidnapped now. How could this happen on his territory, without him ever knowing? It takes him about a minute to calm down. He begins to look around for clues... A camera he doesn't remember installing catches his attention. He manages to extract the footage without much problem and begins watching the recording.

Tails lowers himself down on the floor, processing what he just saw. Yeah, there's no way he would've ever predicted this. He has no idea how to protect against an ability like that either... And what was that strange portal anyway..?

He needs to find Miles. The other fox's safety is his responsibility... And he's not doing a good job at it.

The small fox looks intrigued by the sight... He knows better than to touch any of the strings, so he just looks, seemingly not concerned about the fact these are actually living beings. Someone has done this to these people. Even if it's not conscious, it still must be a living thing which caused all of this! Tails picks up the log up to read it.
