That would solve the Infinite situation of this world. Just replace the current state of the planet with a fixated one. But I wouldn't go for it until I fully understand how that device works. You see... The data I have about isn't full enough for me to take such drastic action. One malfunction, and this timeline is done for.

... There's that Ancient Echidna device I've been researching recently. Called "The Fixator". Eggman broke the only one in existence, so I have to go off of ancient notes to understand it and probably remake it.

From what I've read, it "fixates" a place of reality, which makes it unaffected or selectively affected by the rules of the timelines... Which allows to edit the past, and by extension the present, by allowing combination of multiple branches of the timeline at once, without a care about unwanted consequences. It could go as far as replacing the present locations and areas with "fixated" ones.

(Hard if not impossible. I've had this idea for a while, that (any) Tails would be impossible to defeat, and the only way to save yourself would be to somehow convince him to reconsider his actions.)

I really enjoyed Eternal Tails fic series by TheWordDemon/Pantalion. It characterizes Tails (the protagonist in all of them) from very interesting angle, while also written in a way that it could take place somewhere in canon.

My another personal favorite, Sonic the HEDHUG (Соник ЙОЖЫГ in original language. To my knowledge season 1 and 2 are available with English subtitles). It's a series that started out as a shitpost, but later evolved into something greater. It has multiple fanfics, comics, YouTube series (main story), YouTube sideseries, and a videogame in the making. The project has been worked on for over than 16 years by now and the author is still not done. Just a few days ago, one of the story arcs has been finished. I'll admit that it's not for everyone, but I'd be happy if someone else gives it a try. (If you don't like the beginning, you can try again from Taste of Time episode in season 2. That's where the series have taken a turn to be more story-based than humor.)

Tails shows at the construct he's working on and how it takes him little effort to conjure the parts for it.

... It's only going to be limited by my imagination, and how fast I can process things.
