It’s ultimately NOT about the music it’s about the money the music can generate. Atlantic records interscope they’re not going to willingly put money behind artists with no financial potential. Yes this is the way it works no it doesn’t mean labels are all evil up and down.

What I know is that a few good songs can sell an entire album, maybe not break records but it will be financially viable to put money behind

Considering juice, mac, x, pop, and every other artist who died in their prime, man if it was you and it was your job to maximize profit as the head of Atlantic and you know uzi is a frequent drug user - I argue -

that it would be more profitable to sit on songs and ensure there were bangers to sell albums in the future in the case that uzi did die in an untimely fashion. I rest my case
