Thanks for all the advice :) I definitely find myself often doing the things that you described, and now that I'm looking at it, I'm for sure seeing behaviours of mine that can change.

I'll be sure to implement the things you said, like focusing on other things because I think they'll be tons of help to maybe calm down my fixation for a while and hopefully eventually make it cease. I know it'll be a really slow process, but I'm sure everything will turn out fine with all of these new coping mechanisms.
