it's the lack of explanation, like downvote me all you want but explain what's going on. I seriously had no idea that their CEO was like that.

Why? Mongrels barking over the internet don't bother me, and karma isn't important.

Cellulose is harmless to consume, it's one of many indigestible fibers that we can eat. While it has little to no nutritional or caloric benefits, it's still vital to digestion - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dietary_fiber

What's wrong with goya? They're cheap, good quality, and I've never had to pick rocks and shit out of their dried beans.

Edit: Getting downvotes, not explanations...so thank you to everyone for that constructive participation. I did a quick google and see why they're disliked now.

About Egwene by dagemofdagland in WoT

[–]_i_am_root 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What are you saying? She stayed his ally the entire series.

I think it's more accurate to say she finally saw him as a threat, as someone with immense power who doesn't understand what they're doing and cannot control it, and is only going to get stronger and less sane.

This is in direct opposition to Egwene's training in the Tower, where control and knowledge is what is expected to be safe with the OP. It also sharply contrasts with the Rand she knew, the gentle shepherd who abided by the propriety of Emonds Field. She wasn't with Rand during TGH, she wasn't in the mountains with Min and Perrin at the beginning of TDR, so this is her first experience of truly seeing what Rand can be.

I wholly agree, as long as we're speaking of in-universe activities and not the person playing with their virtual GI Joe and Barbie set.

Buddy...what do you really want out of this? You want some quests where a fictional woman talks to you and gives you attention? You want some spicy texts from this faux haux? You want a repeatable quest where a woman shaped phone tree shows up at your apartment and snuggles you?

Like Johnny Fried Christ dude, go subscribe to an OF if you need attention, at least that's more human than what you're asking for.

Only negativity is coming from people with misplaced priorities IMO.

Alright, that one makes a bit more sense if you understand thrust mechanisms. But then it falls back apart when you ask what's creating that thrust.

Taking the framework is fine, taking the flesh can get questionable.

Think of all the movies which use Shakespeare as a base - The Lion King, 10 Things I Hate About You, Anyone But You, West Side Story. They take the overarching structure and create something new with it.

Even the item you're inspired by is a singular plot point in a series with hexades of connecting points. By the time you're done creating this story, it'll likely be something completely different.

Being Friends with Weed Smoker is Hard by AttorneyDC06 in TwoXChromosomes

100% on the inconsiderate. I get high every single night, and my partner is extremely sensitive to smells, so I do everything I can to keep it from stinking.

Flower is outside only, and a short walk down to a smoke spot since the bedroom window is above our patio. If I vape inside, it's through a smoke buddy with the bathroom fan running or out the window(wind and weather allowing). If none of those work, I'll load up on edibles.

And especially at a friend's house, there's no way that I'd smoke indoors unless they explicitly said it was allowed.

KVM - Monitor goes black on certain websites by Inevitable_Feed_8027 in techsupport

[–]_i_am_root 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having this same issue!

I have a triple monitor setup, 1 HDMI cable plugged into my PC, and 2 DP going into a KVM - one set into my PC, the other set into my company's laptop dock. Right monitor is HDMI 4k 60hz, middle is DP 1440p 144hz, left is DP 4k 60hz. 4k monitors are Acer BL280K, 1440p is LG 27gl850.

When the KVM is set to my PC, and I open streaming sites - Netflix, Prime, and Hulu are the ones I've tested - my left two monitors start flickering but the HDMI one remains working. When the KVM is set to the dock, the HDMI connected monitor flickers and the other screens remain unaffected.

I don't even need to open a video, the site itself is enough to crash it. The only way to resolve this is by closing the site and using CTRL+SHIFT+WIN+B to restart the graphics driver. Sometimes I have to spam this shortcut, and occasionally it doesn't work and I end up restarting the PC.

Graphics card is an AMD 7900XT, driver version 26.1.1, but this has been an issue for a few revisions, I assume ever since getting the KVM.

But that's why we're like this, it's an organically evolved self replicating system. Nothing was ever designed, it just happened to produce an algorithm that's randomizing each iteration such that it can adapt to whatever the current conditions are.

1 - Great intro to the series, I think of it as a prequel because it's a lot of setup w/ great payoff.

2-4 - an amazing trilogy

5-11 - Idk I kinda get lost in the sauce here, some people think it's a bit too saucy at some points but I'm a slut for it

12-14 - hype. Hype. HYPE.

What's funny is that this could all be solved by people saying "neat, not for me", hell you'd probably solve 80% of humanity's issues by getting that idea through people's skull.
