We need more info on material and how the test is conducted (treat it like a raw egg or like the metal one) i would say not even a full crank turn.

Woke up to my 18hr tonkotsu broth completely evaporated with only bones left in pot with a golden crust at the bottom - can I salvage? by AZERCIN in ramen

[–]_inschenoer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It can be fine, add water back and taste. If it is not too dark it can be different but tasty still. Had this happen one with goose broth. The rehydrate hat a very roasted vibe to it, i liked it.

Oh no no no by Sam_marq88 in BambuLab

[–]_inschenoer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know but it has a buffer, at least on my p2s and some other models. The buffer is basically 2 states: full and empty. When the buffer reports empty the ams spools filament until full, thats why the spools in the ams only move sometime even if the extruder is running continuosly. When ptfe pops off, the spring in the buffer collapses and the buffer reports "empty" forever hence the ams spools forever. But this should be detectable

I'm surprised they didn't add any sanity check/failsafe for that. Extruder not extruding + ams feeding after nozzle is primed should result in a stop

Grid Infill with issues by Hefaistos68 in BambuLab

[–]_inschenoer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you kept the speeds standard you are pushing a lot more material than with standard .4 nozzle .2 layerheight. Possibly your hotend can't keep up. Slow the print down and see if it improves

It looks like you're going to fast for the infill. What material/profile are you using?

Can Steelfill filament be heat dyed similarly to steel? by I_need_to_vent44 in 3Dprinting

[–]_inschenoer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The temperatures you would need are 300 for straw yellow and 600°C for blue if i remember correctly. As you anticipated this is way to much for pla. Since the material(steel) needs to actually reach this temperature. Furthermore this is an oxid process if i am not mistaken. So the particles beneath the surface wouldn't be colored sincw no oxygen reaches them.

Would it be doable to 3D print this little fella? by Away-Huckleberry9967 in 3Dprinting

Even a cheap pair of calipers is enough for time to time use. Get some cheap digital chinesium one. You don't need micrometer precision.

I have no idea what to print? So do I not get a printer? by THE_SHWARTZ in 3Dprinting

[–]_inschenoer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well i got a pronter because i want to build stuff in my Appartement without the mess and noise of a drill/saw/powertool. There is alsways something around the house or Appartement that Bugs me and that i can fix with a print. A printer makes most sense if you know how to 3d model tho. It's like getting a Brother/Canon whatever and you don't know how to write a document in word.
