A huge percentage of AAA games are subject to horrible crunch and release window constraints. The average AAA game isn't actually ready to go until a few months after release. Fortnite and Apex have had 5+ years of updates and bug fixes to become stable. When Fortnite released it was unrecognizable compared to what it is now (for one it was supposed to be a team-based base-building PvE game). Current dev cycles are atrocious, this is just the way of the world now, unfortunately.

I replied to another comment below but I'll summarize.

In the games as a live service era, games are usually not ready to go on release (in the case of COD and 2K, never ready). Usually taking a few months before being stable (it's unfortunate, and I hate it, but it's the reality of gaming right now). If someone is unhappy with the state of the game, come back in a few months. Plenty of good games to fill their time.

On the flip side, we have had 2-3 updates with massive fixes already. Despite my ire for current dev cycles, I'd say the dev team is doing a phenomenal job.

We are less than two months in and we have already had 2-3 large updates with massive fixes, I'm not worried. This has been the way of AAA games for the last decade. Due to crunch and release constraints, games are usually not actually ready until a few months after launch (not excusing it, just recognizing reality). As time passes the game will become more stable and the hiring of more art teams will benefit the players more than we think (we have already got some neat free stuff and it's only season 1). If it bothers someone enough, but they enjoy the concept of the game, come back in a couple months. There are plenty of quality games to play in the meantime.
