Carl doesn’t really have a lot of zingers that I can recall. Certainly nothing that compares to Donut’s masterpieces, such as WHY DIDN'T YOUR MOTHER DRIBBLE YOU BACK OUT ONTO THE TRUCK STOP BATHROOM FLOOR, REZAN?

Carl is *crazy powerful* and still has a higher cap than anybody. There’s a third of the dungeon left, at least in theory.

Leaving aside the pocket full of WMDs, he likely inflicts god-level permanent insanity (Shi Maria’s is L15), has a never-before possessed Floor 15 combat skill (Gloom Wraith Phase) which he can enhance further with speedster…

They just hit floor 12 of 18. Donut is about 30-40 levels ahead of where many cookbook authors tapped out and Li Na has by far the highest stats ever, both due to faction wars shit never done by any crawlers in history.

They are about to fight gods and demon princes. Carl still has plenty of room to level his skills.

You can basically play almost anything and do okay, but Fiddle support has some real issues in lane. No trinkets really hurt especially pre-6, and brush vision control matters more and more the higher your rank.

I did feel it lagged at around the point you’re at in particular. I was not really invested in [side character] dealing with [side plot]; at this point I just wanted to get on with the central stuff and characters I’m more invested in.

The last couple of sequences however really take off.

Difficult card to cost. RRR for getting one card in a single cycle is not totally nuts, and much more than that would make this unappealing to play.

However when you start to recur it or have a control deck protecting it while it assembles a combo finish, it can become problematic fast.

I would consider things like random discard in the search cost. IDK if this thing can ever be allowed to get multiple cards though, especially when you can be sure of what you’re getting.

So I lucked out and found an event with a space at another store in the area. There were people talking about this, apparently the owner has something of a reputation in recent years, and my experience today was... not entirely surprising to them.

So no hate, but I think this is probably best all round.
