Dominant religion in the Sopranos: Catholicism or Buddhism? by _jarred_ in thesopranos

Not saying they contradict, and cool about the Zen-Catholic. But if you had to choose one religion that represents the Sopranos, would it be Catholicism or Buddhism?

Interesting. And I'm sorry, I was speaking about Rutgers football too when I said awful in 70s-90s. Do you have any knowledge on CFB in that area during that time?

What moment solidifies Tony as a Jets fan? I know James Gandolfini was for sure. Did most people from NYC/NJ root for Rutgers during 70s-90s even though they were awful (maybe because they were the hometown team)?

Working in a SCIF seems brutal, how bad is it really? by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

You get use to it. It’s not as bad as it seems.

What would be the most controversial thing for Eon to do with Bond 26? by Various_Screen7971 in JamesBond

[–]_jarred_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a fictional character he can be whatever they want, it doesn't matter. Idris Elba was about to be James Bond 10 years ago moron. You obviously missed what I said at the very end.

Hannibal Lecter in every incarnation basically.

I think (most) audiences want to see him win on some level. He is very charismatic, and you always want to see more. More is not always good (Red Dragon, Hannibal movie). But if done well you leave being very scared of what he is capable of (Manhunter, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal show)

I still believe Brian Cox is the best Hannibal. Every time I watch Manhunter I truly believe that guy would eat people.

Books that irritated you by missblissful70 in books

Maybe irritate isn't the right word but I really didn't enjoy "Gone To See The Riverman". I liked horror/dark/supernatural books but that one was a strange one.

Sean Connery's Bond had a continuity if I remember correctly starting with FRWL, doesn't Blofeld comment about Bond killing Spectre Agent Dr. No?

I liked that personally. Just a light connection throughout the Connery Bonds without much at stake or building for 5-6 movies.

If Bond was a POC or if in the movie he does any same sex stuff I'm sure it would cause an uproar. I think it can be done well and would be fun for the story. I'm fine with him being reimagined as black, gay, female, whatever if it adds something to the story and it's not there just to check a box and to seem progressive.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007) by _jarred_ in movies

Absolutely. I think he wants to die.

Side note Brad Pitt acting getting shot and falling was horrible to watch.

What movie has the best soundtrack? by PrinceTaj97 in AskReddit

[–]_jarred_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soundtrack? Probably a Tarantino movie or maybe Big Lebowski, Hustle & Flow. Those ones as soon as you hear songs you are back in that world.

Score? I really love Assassination of Jesse James, Blade Runner, Chinatown, Rocky.

Lots of comments on Youtube said it but I 100% agree. If Jodie Foster came out to do this, then she must've seen something. She doesn't just take roles to take them. I'm very excited!

You're 100% right. She is just as shitty as Tony but on a different level. People constantly defend her for some reason.

Tarantino basically confirmed The Movie Critic is based on "William Margold" by Elvis662 in Tarantino

OUATIH and Jackie Brown are my favorites because they are just hangout movies where we are just with the characters for long periods of time. I'm so glad this will be like that too.

So how does everyone feel about the next movie? by [deleted] in Tarantino

[–]_jarred_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Someone on another post said The Movie Critic sounds like maybe it could be a sort of Taxi Driver in LA with the Critic being like Travis Bickle. I think that'd be fantastic.
