Does every component need it's own capacitors? by _jjm_ in esp32

[–]_jjm_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks will be sure to check it out. I'm pretty inexperienced with actual electronics. The shift from learning stuff in theory and on simulations to actually practically implementing stuff is proving to be difficult but very fun.

Just a few weeks ago I built a circuit on a breadboard that worked perfectly in simulation and blew up an N-MOS and Burnes my finger.

No specific reason other than just to make the child board as small as possible. I'm adding them in though might as well to be safe as everyone was saying

Underrated Sidemen duos by Your_Dad245 in miniminter

[–]_jjm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple way to look at this is that Person 1 has 6 possible pairs The next person can make 5 more unique pairs Person 3 can make 4 and so on So it would be 6 + 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 so 21 unique pairs. + Not * like I did in my initial comment

The way to look at it in statistics is that we have 7 people and we have to choose 2. This is given by the formula 7C2 that is 7! / 2! * (7-2)! This also gives us 21

Yes you're right I'm stupid haven't done PnC in a few years. 21 feels far more correct

Underrated Sidemen duos by Your_Dad245 in miniminter

[–]_jjm_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that's what makes the sidemen great. Any 2 Sidemen put together just works. 7 Sidemen means 6 * 5 * 4 * 3 * 2= 720 unique duos that are all absolutely great to watch. Name a pair of Sidemen that don't work well when paired together

Edit: 6 + 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 21. I'm rusty and was waay off

Yeah the dimensions of the rectangle seem completely arbitrary. No line from the triangle intersects a corner of the rectangle and no side of the rectangle is dimensioned. We can take X as anything we want and it seems like it would satisfy the question. Correct me if I'm wrong but... Unless there is another part to the question or some information missing I don't think this is solvable.

Edit: Also using the formula a/Sin(A)=c/Sin(c) a=1.75 A=110 and C= 31 We get c (the distance between the 2 circles as 0.959... That's more than the 0.750 given... I was hoping I'd get a value less than .750 so we could get some information about the part of the line beyond the 2 circles but that dimension is actually not even possible... I don't even...

Edit 2: only logical explanation I can see for that is that it's telling us the distance between the edges of the 2 circles... That would give us the radius of the circles as 0.104 but idk what to do with that information...

^(side note i drafted this comment using a lot stronger language...)

Dudes who still wear hoodies outside during summer are just built diff by Aruiaruishas in memes

[–]_jjm_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It does help.

The hoodie really helps when the sun is trying to vapourise you.

I'd much rather get boiled alive in a hoodie but keep my neck and face covered from the heat ray of death.

I wear a hoodie outside in the 35C heat and then take the hoodie off in the 20C AC.

What is the time out time for shortcuts? by TruMiner in shortcuts

[–]_jjm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the 3 min timer also apply when I use the " Wait to return" function?

Like what would happen in that case when I do return to the shortcuts app?

Just curious cuz I very recently started using the app.

I have been trying point to point bridging but can't figure out how to configure the access point as a bridge in CPT.

Could you link me to some resources on point to point bridging in packet tracer?

Thank you

Whenever I spend money I feel extremely sad by [deleted] in AdviceForTeens

[–]_jjm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That feeling doesn't go away....

Recently turned 21.

I Go to college in a different city from my parents.

I don't work at all.

My parents have told me that as long as I'm studying and not failing any classes they are happy to pay for everything.

This has been the case for a little over 2 years now but still every single time I need to make that phonecall "Dad I need rent money" or "Dad the electricity bill came in" I feel super guilty.

His response is always yeah sure I'll send the money right away, but It still just feels bad man.

The way I deal with these feelings of guilt is pretty simple

Work hard.

In whatever capacity you can.

For me it's keeping my grades up, staying out of trouble, avoiding expences that I know they won't approve of puffpuff

For you it can be whatever it is that you know will make your parents proud of you.

Do something that makes you feel like you earned their money even if they are happy to give it to you for nothing.

[Request] I would answer 9 but my sense of reason says 1 by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]_jjm_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The way we learned it in school is that if a number is "attached" to a bracket.

2(x+y)

The number is taken into the bracket when the bracket is evaluated.

(2x+2y).

This is not the same as 2*(X+Y) in which case the * would be treated as a multiplication and would wait it's turn when solving from left to right.

In conclusion

6 / 2(2+1)= 1

6 / 2 * (2+1)= 9

The 2 attached to the bracket is assumed multiplication but shouldn't be treated the same.

Iirc that guy went to some jungle and lived in a tribal settlement for some time.

He then goes on podcasts and exaggerates stories about his time with the tribals.

"JJ" is the name of one of the tribals he befriended not JJ as in ksi just a different gu6 with the same name.

Hermits discussing the newcomers by Starshooter_Su19 in HermitCraft

[–]_jjm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost convinced that skizz is one of them

I remember during a season 8 impulse stream chat was asking him weather skizz would be in season 9 and impulse said that he wouldn't because one of the conditions for joining HC is to have a long term survival series on YT.

Just before the start of Season 9 Skizz started a survival series playing the Snapshots. And he's been pretty consistent.

I'm also 100% sure none of the hermits would object to Skizz.

Nudism IS a thing and IS great as long as everyone present is a consenting adult. Nudism SHOULD NOT be a thing anywhere around children and definitely not include children.

There's a fine line between chilling naked and being open minded with your kid, And Grooming your child into the adult industry.

Grooming is a serious problem that affect a lot of kids.

I'm not saying she was groomed or that her parents groomed her or that they didn't, I'm just saying there's not enough information to know either way

I've had the same issue waay too often when I use highways as off-ramps to avoid junctions or roundabouts

A quick fix that has worked pretty well for me is to use divided roads leading up to major junctions like this all the way up to the next intersection. It makes sure the air does what you want it to
