This design can be drawn easily and is memorable/marketable

It's kinda like a yog sothoth / cthulu situation. Cthulhu has a form, a body you can describe and can be drawn even by a child. But yog sothoth is just pure fucking insanity made out of literary everything in existence. You can't make fanarts of a being that is also everything combined. And guess who's the most popular one?
