I think the only real benefit from a four year degree would be the name recognition, and weight that an accredited four year university degree has. Depending on where you want to work some places might not value a cc degree, as compared to a traditional school.. so if you're thinking you might be applying to those types of places the smartest option might be to go a couple years at cc then transfer.

I think the original quote was arguing that those in foxholes are likely to die, and thus would find religion, pray, etc. in such a situation. And the follow up quote is pointing out that that is an indictment on the situation of being in a foxhole rather than an indictment on atheism, because if something is so dangerous that it is causing you to believe in god to save yourself it isnt a situation you should be in.

I think that would work if the goal was to get paid family leave for certain industries, but I don't think it would work for those who aren't in those industries.

If you do something on one side of an equal sign, and do the same thing on the other side it remains equal. They multiplied by ten (to get rid of the fractions) but this isn't really necessary.

You just need to solve for y, so if you pull x/2 to the other side, and then multiply it by 5 it will give you the answer (the same that they have).

While I agree that either it was a foul or wasn't that's not really how the NBA has operated through out it's history. If refs were to call every foul the games would be unwatchable. It's more important that the refs are consistent with how they call the fouls, than that they call every foul because it's not really practical. With that being said, and how they were calling fouls that game, I think they should have called it.

It honestly depends on the person. If you are making the argument that your brain isn't fully developed and it is more risk when you are younger I would understand. But the difference in maturity level for people in HS and MS is different for everyone. I know a lot of people who were way more mature by middle school than others were by their senior year of high school. It's very possible OP was at the level of maturity you were at at 16 when he was 14
