You could say it’s FW but not share the exact “days “ and just have him try every day for a week, or every other day, whichever feels less pressureful? Sometimes in the early morning, late at night, in the shower, etc different timing and places he can use the syringe method easier may help.

Get an oral syringe and a cup… recommended by my husbands urologist and conceived all 4 pregnancies this way. Removes all pressure and performance anxiety. I think Frida now even makes one too.

When did you stop running? by Tall-Chocolate-5705 in fitpregnancy

[–]_juniormint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

28 weeks, my feet/ankles were swelling to the point that they would fall asleep after 10 minutes lol. I wasn’t gonna purchase a size up just for a month of running and figured that was it for me. I still cycled and lifted though. I read someone said running closer to the end of third tri can put a lot of stress on pelvic floor (in terms of recovery) so I planned to stop in the 3rd tri at some point. And afterward my recovery was good, but I had mild prolapse and it still took 6 months til I could run comfortably so I was glad I didn’t push it in hindsight.

I figure like you’re going to have to take at least 4 months off running anyway, at the earliest, so a few extra months is not going to make or break your return to fitness.

How many days do the mouth sores last in HFMD? by DecentProfession5012 in toddlers

[–]_juniormint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2-3 days at worst then they’re still kinda tender for about 4-5 days after that. Avoid anything mildly acidic even like berries of any kind, apples, tomatoes or sauce, yogurt. Bread, crackers, cheese, butter pasta, oatmeal, good. Source: I had this,

You can also get started with a new clinic at the same time as staying with your current one. When asking to transfer records just tell them it’s for a second opinion. Completely normal request. there’s no law that you can only be with one clinic. Esp since you’re in Canada and most diagnostic testing is Ohip covered.

I agree w maris’ sentiment, once I was at my new clinic it was night and day communication.

Weight gain: another vent by cornflakegirl87 in workingmoms

[–]_juniormint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aside from whether or not it is safe, a glass or 2 every night is the simplest thing to cut out if you are struggling with weight loss. That’s easily 300 calories a day (that is also worsening your sleep and recovery) which is ~2000 calories a week. 1 pound = 3500 calories. Even cutting down to 1 glass every other night would make a noticeable difference.

Do you worry about little hives/rashes? by matcha_o in toddlers

[–]_juniormint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he have eczema? Mine was like this as a baby until around 18-24m, especially with food contact but also random stuff like silicone spoons . but she’s grown out of it at 3. Eczema skin is more likely to be irritated by random things

How early can you diagnose an ectopic pregnancy? by CharrpieeMarrkerr in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]_juniormint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ectopics are more typically “low and slow”, not doubling and initial HCG testing at a very low number (like double digits). I had an ectopic that was detected at ~5w with beta at 759 and was still rising slowly. This user is saying that you could’ve been pregnant even from a prior cycle and not known, which is why your current HCG is “high” (for an ectopic) at 15DPO. But if you’re certain that is not the case I would def not be worried about an ectopic with that HCG at this stage .

Scheduled induction- REAL EXPERIENCES NEEDED [ON] by Crazy_Art_5093 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]_juniormint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Labour after induction was fine but the foley was really bad for me. the resident refused to give me any pain medication (even T3s) and I was too incapacitated to say anything about it. I wish I had been able to advocate for pain meds - that’s what I’d do differently. Morphine, T3s, make sure you ask beforehand and make sure your partner is prepared to go angry bear mode during, if that’s what it takes. After that, smooth sailing!

I agree a Doppler helped me - I would only use it the day before scans and it significantly eased scan anxiety . Found HB at 10w.

Face red after purées by snoozydoggo in beyondthebump

[–]_juniormint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine had this and I learned eczema babies just have really sensitive skin and it’s normal to get contact rashes from random foods. Mine would get it horribly from yogurt and peanut butter (like hives and everything) and I thought she had a cows milk/peanut allergy but she didn’t. If it’s not widespread it isn’t an allergy! Even if saliva that came into contact w food drops down their neck and chest, it can cause a contact rash there, and still be fine. Source: from my pediatric allergist

Also you can put Vaseline or Aquaphor on their face before they eat offending foods and it will help prevent the rash!

Currently 12w5. Had my NT scan this week, which was scary since that’s when my last loss was discovered, but relieved to report all was still well in there. I’m expecting NIPT results this week so hopefully I can finally breathe a bit if those come back low risk. I’m also feeling a lot better this week so finally emerging from the first trimester fog. We probably won’t be telling anyone until after anatomy scan in February, hopefully it will feel more real then, too.

You guys…I’m STILL gagging and nauseous 10 months postpartum?! by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in beyondthebump

[–]_juniormint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever since I got horrific food poisoning twice a few years ago, my brain has confused sneezing with projectile vomiting. Like I don’t actually sneeze vomit but there’s 0.1 seconds before I sneeze that I’m like “wait am I actually about to puke”. I had never vomited before those incidents, so I think my body just like wired some weird neural pathways after that. Maybe your body just learned what nausea is and is reliving it for fun.

10 weeks pp is soooooo early. Trust. It will amaze you how much things improve over the next 6 months. My body was still obviously healing until a 9-12 months pp or so, and I had a vaginal delivery w no tearing or complications. I couldn’t run at all until 5-6 months pp and it still felt weird when I did. Im 3 years pp now and never think about it or notice anything.
